5 Beauty Must Haves

It's safe to say that I haven't been a very good beauty blogger recently, the last time I wrote a beauty post was back in February and since then I've not mentioned the topic once. It's not necessarily a bad thing because the reason behind the lack of beauty posts is that I've been really inspired to tackle disability related topics more recently but I'm definitely starting to miss my beauty blogger roots. During the past few months I've still been loving makeup, trying new products and attempting to step out of my comfort zone so I definitely haven't abandoned my love for all things beauty related! Today I thought I'd ease myself back into the topic by sharing a few products that I've been loving and using a lot lately.

Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Lipstick in Chauffeur ~ buy here

This lipstick is one that I've been reaching for again and again recently because it's one of those easy to apply, no faff kind of products. I've even found that I don't really need a mirror to apply it! The rose gold packaging is gorgeous and the lipstick inside is equally so, it's a muted nude pink that has a beautiful finish. It's definitely not a bold lipstick, it's quite sheer but you can tell that it's on. I just love how natural looking it is and how it goes with any look, the ease of application is definitely a bonus for me too! For only £3 you really can't go wrong.

Maybelline 24hr Creamy Mattes Colour Tattoo in Creme De Rose ~ buy here

This is a product that I've been reaching for every time I've done my makeup for a few months now, without fail. I've been a fan of the Colour Tattoo's since they launched in the UK but by far this is my favourite shade as it makes a really good base for eyeshadow. I also really like using it on it's own though as it evens out my eyelids and covers up the veins, so it's perfect both as a base/primer and on it's own on natural makeup days.

NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Bustier ~ buy here

When the NYX Lip Lingerie's came out I was going through quite the liquid lipstick phase so I picked myself up a couple of shades that I thought would suit me best. However, they both turned out to have quite grey undertones and they didn't suit me in the slightest. Recently though I saw in Boots that they'd brought some new shades out so I swatched a few and finally settled on Bustier which has proved to be a real favourite of mine. It's a lot darker than most of the lipsticks I usually wear but I've really been embracing wearing a darker colour and I know that it's going to be perfect for Autumn! It's long wearing and doesn't feel drying either so it definitely gets the thumbs up from.

Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel ~ buy here

A while back in one of the big magazines, Glamour maybe, they were giving out a mini version of the Benefit Gimme Brow Gel and I snapped up the opportunity to give a product a go from a high end brand that is usually out of my price range. I'm not very good when it comes to my brows as well, they are very light and quite uneven so this seemed like an easy product to try and tame them! I'm so glad I picked up a few copies of the magazine back then because I've really fallen in love with this product. It's so easy to use, adds just enough colour and keeps my brows in place for the whole day. What more could you want! I'll definitely be buying the full size of this once my minis run out.

MUA Custom Colour Foundation Mixer in Lightening Cool ~ buy here

A while back I returned to a brand that I've not bought much from in a while, MUA. You'll probably remember them from years back, a budget brand with an impressive range. Well, I had a browse on their website a couple of months back and noticed a load of new products that took my fancy, with this being one of them. It's a product that you can mix in with your foundation to adjust the colour to suit you better and as someone with pale skin this is something I'm definitely in need of. Most foundations are usually just a little too dark for me, which is super frustrating, but this has solved all of my foundation problems! I've started using foundations that I've not been able to use in ages due to them being too dark, this is the best £4 I've spent in a while!
