Shaking Up My Skincare Routine

When Autumn and Winter comes around I think everyone's skin goes through some kind of change, I have dry and dehydrated skin all year round but as soon as the temperatures drop things only get worse. I've always gone for the same kinds of products over the years to tackle my skincare problems and honestly I wouldn't even say half made any significant difference. So, I decided that I would step away from the typical products I reach for and instead try something new. I wanted to talk to you today about 2 of these new products that I've been trying out over the past few months, a skin mist and a very clever mineral water!

L'Ords des Pharaons Face & Body Mist

The first product is technically an anti ageing one but as I have said on my blog before, I think these kinds of products have properties and uses that can benefit everyone regardless of age. This is a purified and revitalised water containing monatomic, diatomic and nanoclusters of pure gold, pure platinum and pure zinc. Yes, it contains actual gold! This certainly explains why this is a pricey product and I had big expectations when I started using it. Over the past few years these kinds of revitalising mists have been really popular and they are the kind of product that really intrigue me, mainly because of how easy they are to use.

It is said that ever since the beginnings of time, gold has been considered a gift from the Gods to stay young, healthy and beautiful. Now, I'm not sure exactly how much truth there is in that but I did really enjoy using this mist. When I first started using this I decided to stop using my serum for a few weeks as well, to see whether this mist could do the same things that my serum does. I was really surprised with the results of my mini experiment, my skin didn't end up feeling dry, dehydrated or dull at all. I was impressed that a mist had seemed to have taken over the job of quite a heavy duty serum. I did eventually start using my serum again alongside the mist and I have to say, I'm really enjoying having it as a part of my daily skincare routine now. It is a pricey product though so I really hope that the use of ingredients like gold does start to make it's way into more affordable products that you'd see on the shelves in Boots. I think if you are looking for a bit of luxury in your life though then this would be perfect, it isn't just a posh spray! I noted also when reading the product information that they package their products in high quality dark violet bottles which allows only positive infrared and ultraviolet light to pass through, which results in a longer shelf life!

Nano Silver

The second product is one that I talked about in a post back in September and as promised here is my review of it! When I first heard about this product it really did fascinate me, it's a skincare product of sorts but one that would be best kept in a medicine bag. It's a product that can be used to help fight a variety of problems as it contains silver, said to be one of the world's most effective defences against bacteria and fungus. It can be used to treat bee stings, bug bites, nappy rash, burns, cuts, toothache and skin conditions just to name a few things! It comes in a spray version, the one I have, and also in a bottle which is better used to treat toothache and infections. I went for the spray version as I'm one of these people that seems to end up with scratches on my arms and legs from who knows where! I also suffer with eczema sometimes so I wondered if it would be able to help that.

I've now gotten into the routine of reaching for this whenever I have a cut, scratch or my eczema is bad simply because I've found that this actually works. My scratches and cuts clear up quicker and I find that my eczema doesn't flare up so badly when I regularly use this. I was surprised but at the same time I wasn't as we know that silver has been used for thousands of years as a natural and powerful antibiotic. This sized spray bottle costs £10.95 and it's going to last me quite a well, I think this would be a very valuable edition to anyone's medicine bag but I can imagine it would be particularly helpful for parents with children who get bumps and cuts all the time!

Using these two products over the past few months has definitely encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone sometimes, it's good to try something different and new!

These products were sent to me for review consideration but this does not affect my opinion and I am always 100% honest.
