NEW Elemis Biotec Skincare | Review

Throughout all the years that I have been blogging now (nearly 5!) I've mainly stuck to talking about affordable highstreet products because that's what I can afford and what most of my readers can. The high end ranges have always caught my attention though and I've been left wondering time and time again, are the products really worth the price tag and are they better than highstreet alternatives? When I was asked if I wanted to try a new range of pretty luxurious Elemis products I was hesitant as they are pricey but I thought this would be a great opportunity to answer those questions for myself. So, whilst I've been using these 3 products over the past couple of months I've also been comparing them to my usual cheaper ones and I'm definitely ready to tell you all about what I thought now!

Elemis Biotec Skin Care Range Anti Ageing

Elemis is a brand that I've tried before and I loved the Freshskin range when I tried that out a couple of years ago so I was interested to see what they had brought to the table this time. The Biotec range is based around the idea of energising your skin and giving it a boost, there is an anti-ageing element to it but that didn't put me off. I think this definitely is a product that will appeal to older people more though especially since the price is a little too high for most young people I think. I didn't focus on the anti-ageing side though and just hoped it would brighten my skin a little and keep it looking soft and moisturised!

The first product, the Biotec Skin Energising Cleanser, claims to cleanse, balance and energise the skin using a trio of acids, electrolytes and minerals. It is a lovely cleanser and I really cannot fault it really as it left my skin feeling clean, soft and ready for the day but do I think it's worth the pricetag? This time around, no. As I say I can't find fault with it but with so many cheaper alternatives on the market that perform just as well I did hope for perhaps a little something extra but it lacked that.

Onto a better note though! The day cream and the night cream impressed me a lot, they both contain a trio of acids and zinc and copper to revive, replenish and hydrate the skin. As you can tell they have a different system to most moisturisers, on one side there is a more traditional moisturiser and then the other side feels a little more like a serum and they mix together to leave your skin feeling soft and nourished. I really did notice a different in how my skin looked and felt after just a few weeks of using these. My makeup went on a lot smoother and I think my skin may even have been clearer since it was so moisturised. So, did this perform better than my highstreet alternatives? Definitely. If I had a bigger budget and perhaps were a little older I would definitely consider this, perhaps as a luxurious treat and also they would make great gifts if you are feeling generous for birthdays or christmas for the older lady (or man) in your family. You can find all these products on the BeautyExpert website where you can also find a whole range of Elemis products to suit any skin type or age. I'd really recommend the brand as a whole so if you're looking to refresh your skincare routine, check them out!

Can you help me to get my independence back? I'm trying to raise the money to get a powerchair so I can get my freedom back and live my life like most 18 year olds do, even just a few pounds would make a big difference. Find out more on my GoFundMe page.
