Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Balm in Hypnotic | Review

Over the past couple of months I've made a few Makeup Revolution orders as they've been bringing out lots of products recently that have really appealed to me and last week I started off my reviews with the Rose Gold Lipsticks. This week I'm talking about one of their new highlighting products, the Ultra Strobe Balm. It comes in 2 shades and I chose Hypnotic, I meant to go for the more pink toned one (Euphoria) but for some reason I ended up choosing this one in the end which has more golden tones! I think I'll eventually get the other shade though which I guess tells you that I really enjoyed using this.

Highlighting and strobing has become really popular over the past year and it's something that at first I had no idea about, I didn't know what products to use or how to even highlight! Thanks to some of the more easy to use products out there though I've slowly gotten better at it so felt brave enough to try out something a little different like this. All my highlighting products are powders apart from this, this is a balm with a creamy texture but it slowly turns into more of a powder as you blend it in. It doesn't look oily on my face at all and isn't super over the top as I thought it might be. However I did at first definitely apply too much and found that a little product goes a long way with this, you can achieve both a subtle look and a more Kim Kardashian-esque look.

It's difficult to show in photos just how stunning this product is unfortunately, but the light does bounce off it beautifully. I think the more pink toned shade would be perfect for this time of year and throughout the rest of Spring and when Summer comes around I think this one would be great if you want that golden sunkissed glow. If you are a big fan of highlighting or even just a beginner then I think this would be a fab product to try out and it's really inexpensive compared to similar products. It's £5 and both shades are available on the Makeup Revolution website and on the Superdrug website. My local superdrug only has a small Makeup Rev. stand so I'm not sure if you can get this in-store so if you've seen it in your local store then perhaps pop a comment below so people know!

Have you tried any of the recent new Makeup Revolution products?
