Refreshing My Wardrobe for 2016 | Wishlist

New year, new me as people like to say and despite the fact that it's a phrase I don't particularly like I think it is one I can apply to my want to shake up my wardrobe a little. It's been full of the same boring jeans and t-shirts for a long while now and it's about time I injected a bit of excitement into it. I've been browsing my favourite online shops (New Look and ASOS if you're interested) as well as a few other places to find some pieces that are versatile and will work with what I already have but whilst also making my style less boring.

One thing that my wardrobe definitely needs is a new pair of jeans, I've been hunting for a new pair for quite a while now with no luck. Being tall with long legs makes buying jeans so difficult but I came across this pair in the New Look Tall range recently and I was happy to see that actually they are the same price as the normal range for once, I think I'll definitely be giving them a try. Something else that I seem to be lacking is a pair of slightly different ankle boots, I've got pairs of plain old black ones but I've been looking for something a bit different recently and I came across these fab ones from Jones Bootmakers that are currently in the sale, I love the style and the stone colour and think they would be great for this time of year.

Recently I bought a stripy skater dress in the clothing sale at Sainsbury's of all places and I've been wearing it to death ever since I got it, it's a style that I didn't think would flatter me but it really does so I've been trying to find other similar dresses and came across one at New Look. At £18 it isn't badly priced and I think it could be styled many different ways! Finally a new bag is on my list, my back pain hasn't been great recently so I've switched back to using my backpack but it's getting old now and looking a bit tatty so I think it's time for an upgrade, this structured backpack is exactly the kind of thing I've been looking for, it's plenty big enough to fit my daily essentials in as well as having enough space for the long train journey up north. I'll definitely be checking it out if I spot it in store!

What one piece of clothing is on your wishlist at the moment? Will you be shaking up your style this year?

    1. Comfy jeans are so difficult to find, especially when I have to make sure they are comfy to sit down in when I'm in my wheelchair! xx

  3. I just cleaned out my wardrobe and drawers today and the amount of blue jeans that I forgot about was unbelievable and this post just reminded me of it. I need to find myself a good pair of ankle boots too. I have a pair and they're the right size and everything but they give me absolute hell, even though I've had them for a while!x

  4. That dress is gorgeous. I actually bought one so similar from F&F Tesco Clothing a couple of days ago. The top of the dress is the same but mine has a plain black skirt inside of all one pattern, great minds think alike! :)
