#BloggersXmas Event

On Saturday me and fellow Herts blogger Courtney  hopped on a train into London to attend the #bloggersxmas event/meet up that the lovely girls at Soeurs De Luxe had been organising. I wasn't quite sure what to expect as the only person I properly knew that was going was Courtney but I ended up having a really lovely time. I enjoyed looking around all the brands stalls and chatting to them all and it was lovely to end up seeing some familiar faces there, I finally got to meet Angelica from One Little Vice! I did have to leave early because of my back pain but I'm glad I went especially as it meant I got to spend some time with Courtney.

At times the event was super busy which meant I didn't quite get to go around and look at every brand but I loved what I saw so I thought I'd share a few of my favourites with you as well.

I think my favourite brand from the event has to be the Aroma Cake Boutique. I'm a big fan of cupcakes like most people so I've got to be honest my eyes did lock on to this stand pretty quickly! What's different about their cakes though is that they are inspired by the flavours of the Middle East and India so they incorporate things like spices into their recipes. I really loved the Coconut & Safforn cakes which happened to be Gluten Free but you'd never notice, they were so good!

Another brand that caught my eye were Blogosphere Magazine who if you haven't heard of by now, where have you been? They're a magazine for bloggers, by bloggers and I've been meaning to get one of the magazines for a while now. I was so happy to find Issue 3 in the goody bag that we were kindly given at the end of the event so I'm definitely looking forward to sitting down and reading through that.

There were loads of other fab brands there as well like Sweet Cheesus who may have convinced me to start trying more cheesecakes. I never used to like them but their Apple Crumble one may have taken me over to the darkside, you can pick these up in the Selfridges on Oxford Street so if you're ever in the area I'd really recommend that you pick one up to try!

At the end of the event we were all kindly given a goody bag which was packed full of lovely things from brands like Blanx, Barry M, Yankee Candle and Popband! I can't wait to give everything a go, maybe look out for some reviews coming up! We were also all given a personalised keyring with a hand drawn picture of us on from the fabulous Aloha Lola Cards, I absolutely adore mine and I'll definitely be spending a lot of time on the Etsy store from now on I think! I forgot to take a photo of mine for this post but keep an eye on my Twitter as I'm sure I'll post a picture to there.

Overall I had a really lovely time, big thanks to Jasmine and Kirsty for putting on such a fab event, you did a great job girls!

  3. It looks like you had a fantastic time! I'm even more sad that I wasn't able to go as it would have been lovely to meet you. Jasmine & Kirsty definitely did a great job! Xx

A really interesting post, thank you for sharing your tips. I'm really trying to improve my photography at the moment. I'm finding practice invaluable. The more photos I take, the better I'm able to translate what I want the image to look like into a photo. I'm still (& hopefully will always be) learning & developing. It's an exciting journey! Xx
