My Travel Beauty Favourites

Over the past 6 months I've started travelling a lot more, unfortunately not the kind of travelling that sends me across the world to beautiful sunny countries though. My grandparents recently moved up north and my boyfriend also lives up there so they are both a nearly 3 hour train journey away. This means that I've spent a lot of time in the travel mini aisles in shops and I've come across a few favourites as well. I've also discovered what products I do and don't tend to use when I'm away for a few days, for example I don't tend to take my whole skincare routine with me so I've found a few alternatives to this.

One of the most important products that I take with me whenever I'm travelling is a mini can of hairspray, I recently got my hair cut to a shorter style again so I always make sure to have some hairspray handy to keep everything in place as I'm wearing my hair down more often. The one I'm using at the moment is a new favourite of mine, I've always been a fan of the John Frieda Frizz Ease range but I had no idea that there was a hairspray available. This is the Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Hairspray and it really does keep my hair in place and does a pretty good job of keeping frizz at bay as well, especially when it's raining or quite windy.

As I said above when I go away for a few days I don't see the point of carrying around my whole skincare routine, I'm certain my skin can survive for a couple of days without a million toners and moisturisers being used on it. Of course I take my usual favourite moisturiser, eye cream and face wash but other than that the only other skincare products I take are the ones above. I love the mini packets of face wipes that you can get and I've taken a liking to the Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes. If I've had a long day the idea of taking my makeup off doesn't sound too appealing so I usually start by using my mini bottle of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water to get the bulk of my makeup off and then follow up with my face wipes. I know everyone says that face wipes aren't great for you but after a long day I think they are perfect and a quick solution!

Finally I've got 2 basic items that I can never leave behind, deodorant and sun protection. The new compressed deodorants are the perfect size for travelling, my favourite at the moment is the Sure Invisible Aqua Deodorant, I've always had trouble finding a good deodorant but finally I think I've found the one for me. The last essential is sun protection, I'm ginger and have pale skin which basically means that if I step outside in Summer I'm guaranteed to get sun burnt. I found this Boots Soltan Suncare Spray a few weeks back and it is just fab, it's so easy and quick to apply and it melts into my skin really fast so I can apply it at anytime and anywhere with no worries. It's small enough to pop in your handbag as well for on the go, if you're looking for something like this I'd really recommend trying this one out.

So that's my travel beauty favourites, just a few essentials that I always pop in my suitcase when I go off for a few days. If you want me to do more posts on my travel essentials for a weekend trip/few days away then just let me know in the comments!

  2. I travel quite a lot as I live half between my house and my boyfriends but as I have a car to be honest I just pack pretty much everything I use and dump it in the car! x
