Makeup Revolution PRO LOOKS Stripped & Bare Palette | Review

Makeup Revolution have been on fire recently with their new releases, so much so that it's been a little tricky to keep up with everything! Finally though I've found some time to sit down and review all the gorgeous products I've been trying out from them, starting with this stunning palette packed full of the kind of shades that I love best. I have to admit when it comes to Makeup Rev. it really is their palettes that come out on top for me, the range is so big that there really is something for everyone and I hope that like me you won't be disappointed. I've been really looking forward to getting around to reviewing this palette in particular though as since I've had it I've been choosing it over all my other eyeshadows, including my higher end ones!

This palette is part of a collection of three PRO LOOKS palettes that are available on the Makeup Revolution website, this palette holds the most natural shades out of the three and is definitely my personal favourite. The idea of the palettes is that having them split up into three sections inside can help guide you in creating the perfect look, whether you want something quite light or something a little heavier for a night out, for example. I really like how it is set up and it would definitely make things easier for beginners to makeup and eyeshadow, I quite like to use shades together from multiple different sections as well though, they all seem to compliment each other nicely. The palette also holds a substantial sized mirror which is plenty big enough for use when doing all your makeup.

You can probably see from the photos above that I've been using the first two sections the most, although after seeing these swatches I definitely won't be neglecting the third section anymore. I don't think the photos quite do the eyeshadows justice perfectly but it was the best I could do with the lighting, you'll just have to take my word for it when I say that they are more pigmented than they appear. Each shade has it's own name which is very handy for us bloggers, I really can't stand it when each product in a palette doesn't have it's own name!

There's a good mixture of matte and shimmer shades in it and I find that they work really well together, I particularly like pairing together one of the matte brown shades with a lighter or darker shade with more of a shimmer finish for a nice contrast. The formula of them isn't quite as creamy and soft as I usually like in an eyeshadow but it doesn't effect how easily they blend too much which is good. To get the best out of these I'd recommend using a good primer, there isn't major fading during the day but enough to make me want to use a primer with them. I really can't complain though as at the end of the day this palette only costs £6, it's a lot cheaper than some of my other palettes which I've since been neglecting since this hopped into my makeup bag. This really is a new favourite of mine, the colours aren't complicated or difficult to use and I have no trouble picking out which ones work well together. This is the perfect palette for beginners but I'd definitely recommend it to anyone!

  1. I have the brighter version of this palette but I really want to try this one too. They are so so gorgeous, and all so very wearable! I have been loving greens and blues so I think I would use the end section tonnes. Going to have to buy it!

    1. That's what I love about it, all the shades are so wearable, I'd happily use them all with confidence! The shimmery blue shade in the last section is just gorgeous, I must use it more! x

  2. This palette is so pretty, the third section is what drew me in.
There are more MUR palettes I want to try before this but I will have to add it to my collection at some point, even I need some more neutral shades every now and then. I only have two neutral shades palettes (MUA and Sleek), most beauty people have more than that, I should definitely have another. xD
