The McBusted M.E.A.T. Tour

Back in December last year I got a very nice surprise from my boyfriend after we learnt of our mutual love for McFly/Busted/McBusted, he'd managed to snap up 2 tickets to go and see McBusted in Leeds and finally the day came around last week. We stayed in Leeds for a few days and explored the city, mainly doing a lot of shopping, before Wednesday 18th came around and we were on our way to the First Direct Arena.

Neither of us live in Leeds so we stayed in the Premier Inn just across the road from the Arena, it really was just across the road as well! The view across Leeds was really nice as well from the room, you don't get views like that where I live so I spent a lot of time in the morning just staring out the window, taking it all in. When we got to the Arena the staff were amazing, both me and my boyfriend use a crutch so we booked accessible seats and we were both really shocked at how good our view was. We had tons of space and room, were near to the disabled toilets and we were able to see everything even when sitting down. At that point I was buzzing with excitement and still couldn't quite believe we were about to see McBusted live!

I took about 200 pictures so I thought I'd just share my favourites and the best, this is the first time that I don't care about the quality of the photos that I'm sharing on my blog!

They played a really good mix of McFly, Busted and McBusted songs from the album and I knew every single word to all the songs (my boyfriend didn't believe me at first!). I had an incredible night, I completely forgot about everything and just sang and danced along. It the first time in ages that I've just been able to let go like that and I'm looking forward to doing it so much more now, we're heading to Leeds festival in the Summer and I can't quite contain my excitement over it!

It wasn't just McBusted there though, the 2 support acts Symmetry and New City Kings were really good. Symmetry definitely stood out to me more as they are really similar to All Time Low (one of my favourite bands) so I've been listening to them a lot since they opened the show.

I definitely want to see McBusted play again after they put on an incredible show, it really was one of the best nights of my life. It was actually the first concert I'd ever been to as well, I want to see all my favourite bands live now!

Let me know if you want me to do more posts like this, all about days out or things I've done! If you're a McBusted fan tell me in the comments below as well, what's your favourite song from either band or the new album?

    1. You will have such a good time next week! It went by so quickly though, before I knew it the whole arena was singing along to Year 3000 and realising that it was the end of the show! I cannot wait to see All Time Low at Leeds fest, going to be amazing! Aww thanks, might do some more music related posts! Have a good time next week! Why not send me a tweet, I'd love to hear all about it! (@shonalouiseblog) x

  3. I'm such a huge fan of McBusted, and a massive fan of Mcfly before they formed. I saw their show in Birmingham the other day, I was in the VIP section at the front and it was the best night ever. I won tickets to their last tour before that which was in the VIP section as well. Honestly they are such an amazing band to see live and they make me so happy. I first saw Mcfly in 2008 and have seen them every tour since.. they just have such good stage presence which not many bands have. Loved seeing this blog post on my feed, not often my favourite band pops up there! x

They definitely have an amazing stage presence and I was blown away by just how incredible they are live, going to try and see them as much as possible from now on as it was just the best night ever! x
