November Beauty Favourites '14

Recently I've taken a big break from blogging due to lacking motivation and inspiration but finally I think I'm starting to get back into the swing of things! I didn't do a favourites post last month due to this so sharing a few products that I'm loving at the moment seemed like the best way to come back to blogging. This is one of those posts that I've been looking forward to writing a lot as well as this month I really have found some gems! I've got a mix of new products and old favourites to share with you which I think is always nice because I often end up neglecting lots of older products because of new releases! My makeup has stayed the same nearly all month I think, very simple but it's been working well for me, I've been using most of these products everyday.

Over the past few weeks I've been trying out the new The One Blush Sticks from one of my favourite bargain brands Makeup Revolution and one shade really surprised me. I've never been very confident when it comes to contouring or using bronzer but this product has made it so easy. It looks really intimidating but I when I apply it with my Real Techniques Contour Brush I just find that things get a lot easier. It's a well pigmented product but also very creamy so it blends with ease, I've been using it to contour with no problems at all. I'll be reviewing all of the available shades very soon but for now I really recommend picking this up if you want to have a go at contouring!
This is an old favourite of mine, a lipstick that I find myself going back to a lot. It's quite a simple yet pretty lipstick, it's the formula that I adore the most though. This feels so soft on your lips and applies like a dream, the shade is also what draws me in. I love muted pinks and this has to be my favourite out of all the ones I own of a similar shade. I find that it's perfect for Autumn/Winter as well as it isn't a bright pink, it's a lot softer than the more Spring appropriate shades out there. I definitely need to pick up a few more of the Supreme Shine lipsticks from Seventeen, if you've tried them recommend me some shades in the comments!
My skin has been quite bad recently so I've started using a combination of my all time favourite concealer, the Collection Lasting Perfection, alongside this Bourjois one. It's been a little while since I've reached for it but I was quickly reminded of why I like it so much when I used it again for the first time recently. It's perfect for concealing dark circles under my eyes as it helps to cancel out any discolouration, something which I also have more of in the colder months. It doesn't cling to any dry patches either which for me is a big plus when it comes to concealers, I think I'll be using this a lot more often during the next few months.
I'm going to do a whole rave post about this product so I won't say too much other than the fact that it is my favourite product from the whole month! This has completely changed how I do my brows in the morning, I used to be useless at filling them in but I seem to have mastered it thanks to this brow dual from Makeup Revolution. I can't believe this is only £3.50, I really recommend that everyone try this, especially if you struggle with filling in your brows!
Finally there is one nail polish that I wore a lot during November, the weather is still pretty good for this time of year so I've been getting as much use out of this brighter Autumn/Winter shade as possible. I'm a big fan of the Collection Gel Nail Polishes as I find they last so long on my nails, about 4/5 days which is pretty good for me, I seem to chip nail polishes within one or two days usually! If you're looking for some new nail polishes to get you through the Christmas period I think these would be fab, especially this bright yet wintery shade.
November really was a good month for me when it came to finding new favourites, there are so many more new releases that I'll be sharing with you all over the next few weeks as well so look out for lots of beauty reviews!

  1. I really want to try Matte Malibu as a contour and some of the other blush colors.. Makeup Revolution just have the best products. The Collection gel nail polishes are so impressive - the big brush makes painting nails much easier! :)

    1. I'd really recommend the blush sticks! That's one of my favourite things about those nail polishes, the brush isn't skinny :) x

  2. My favourite lipstick is from seventeen. It's the mirror shine in belle. I'm going to pick up this colour too and give it a go :) x

    1. I haven't tried the shade Belle but I've heard so many good things about it, might have to try it! x
