Hey there lovely readers,
It’s Clare here from The Love of All Things Beauty (previously A Bit of This and That) and I am lucky enough to be chatting to you all on Shona’s Blog so hello.
I thought I would introduce you to one of my favourite things, my Cath Kidston Two Fold Toiletry Bag otherwise known as my travel make up bag. Over the six weeks school holiday I did a bit of travelling around the UK so I have been living out of my travel make up bag instead of using most of my rather large make up collection.
So today I am going to show you all what I took away with me on my most recent trip to Leeds and Northumbria because I don’t know about you but I love a good snoop through someone else’s make up bag.
Let’s start with the base shall we, I normally take a choice of two foundations and a powder (MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus) depending on how I feel during the holiday. If it is a quiet day or I am going walking with the family I pop on the Body Shop Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream as it’s light but still has enough coverage to cover a multitude of sins. However if I’m going somewhere that I’m going to be seen by people or I need a long lasting finish I will pop on the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. Am I the only one who brings more than one foundation on holiday?
I also always take two concealers with me too, the Collection Lasting Perfection and NARS Radient Creamy Concealer because I love them both the same amount and I don’t want to pick one over the other...sad I know.
Eye wise, I like to have options so I took two palettes and two eyeshadow sticks as well as my normal eyebrow (Sleek Eyebrow Stylist) and Mascara ( Benefit They’re Real) duo. Palette wise I took the NARS Narsissist and the Urban Decay Naked Basics as they are both are neutral palettes which are perfect for travelling however I need my sparkle shades, which is where the NARS palette comes into its own. As well as the palettes, I took two KIKO Long Lasting Eyeshadow Sticks in 07 and 02 which are a golden shade (07) and a silver shade (02) because they work well as eyeshadow bases but also work great on their own.
Finally onto the final part and my favourite part…the lipsticks. If you have ever visited my blog or seen my YouTube Channel you will know I have a little bit of a lipstick obsessive so to trim it down to three was really hard. In the end I picked a Red (Urban Decay F-Bomb), a Bright (Charlotte Tilbury Velvet Underground) and a nude (MAC Patisserie) and I think I was ready for everything with those three.
So there you go, I hope you enjoyed this little look into my travel make up bag. Thank you to Shona for allowing me to post on her wonderful blog, I hope I see you over on The Love of All Things Beauty soon.
Lots of Love,
