Guest Post | 5 beauty products under £5

Thank you very much to Shona for allowing me to do a guest post on her blog which I've been a reader of for a pretty long time now! Anyway, as an avid fan of all things to do with makeup but with a smaller price tag, today I thought I'd share with you all five seriously good makeup items which you can find all for £5 or less so let's get started!

A classic drugstore favourite of mine which you will of course find in just about every eye themed post I've ever done on my blog (yes I'm a rambler...) would have to be the Maybelline colour tattoo cream eye shadows especially the shade on and on bronze. These little pots of eyeshadow goodness are so quick to apply with no complex blending necessary. This bronzey shade adds a good bit of definition to the eyes, as if you've put a good 10 minutes of effort into your eye makeup and it stays put for the majority of the day.

As a bright lipstick-fearer, I tend to keep things nude or have a slight baby pink hue on the lips which makes Rimmel's lip pencil in Eastend Snob a perfect option. This pinkish nude lip liner glides easily onto the lips providing a lovely 'my lips but better' look. Although the lip liner is quite long lasting, I would recommend popping on a bit of lip balm before as this can be just a touch on the drying side.

Next up is a classic blogger favourite, the Collection lasting perfection concealer and my personal blemish concealing buddy. Not only does this concealer give you one penny in change from a £5 note, it also offers long lasting coverage for blemishes as well as for any under eye concerns with not too much creasing in the mean time.

Rimmel's scandal eyes eye pencils are one of my top picks from the Rimmel stands. They have a smooth, creamy and pigmented formula which I find lasts even longer than their much more expensive counterparts, the Urban Decay 24/7 liners. My favourite shade would have to be bronze, a brownish colour with a bit of shimmer that adds lots of definition to the eyes without being as severe as black can be.

A new favourite of mine would be the Collection fast stroke liner. Now before you get the impression that I can do liquid eyeliner, I assure that you that I most definitely can't, well, a thin line across my top lash line is just about what I can manage. A smooth black formula that glides on nicely and lasts all day all for less than £5, what more is there to say!

Thanks for reading, take a look at my blog if you enjoyed this post!
