When picking an eyeshadow I chose to get one in pan form so I could eventually build up a little quad, I haven't gotten round to it yet but I will soon. All That Glitters seemed like an easy choice for me, it's a popular shade that I knew I would get a lot of use out of. It's a champagne-gold shade that is very easy to wear on its own or as a base shade under other eyeshadows. It's so versatile and if you are looking into getting your first MAC eyeshadow this is definitely a good place to start.
MAC eyeshadows are pricey so I expected really good things and I haven't been disappointed. This is such a pigmented product that is easily blended when on your eyelid. At £10 I think I will always be a bit hesitant when it comes to making my quad but I do understand what the hype is about now though. I've already used this a lot and it's quickly becoming one of my favourite eyeshadows. I've been enjoying using it on it's own with a coat of mascara or combined with some smokey brown shades for a stronger look. With a primer I find that this lasts all day with no trouble, without a primer I do notice a bit of fading during the afternoon but nothing major and I always tend to use a primer anyway.
I do now get what all the hype is about but I think making my own quad will be enough for me!
Have you tried any MAC eyeshadows? Also what's your favourite brand for eyeshadow?
Thanks for reading,
Shona x

It is so beautiful, can't wait to make up my own quad now! :) x
DeleteI think I have this one but I'm not 100% sure as I won it in a blog giveaway and I haven't used it very much so far (oops!). I also have Cranberry which I do really like but am a little scared of as I'm not great with eye shadow (although I have worn it several times) and I also have I think it's called steamy which again I haven't worn yet but intend to wear as a liner rather than eye shadow I think x

I did have Cranberry but I just found it too difficult to work with, such a shame as it is a beautiful shade! x
DeleteThis is one of my favourite MAC eye-shadows. It's one of the few shadows I've hit pan on!

I wouldn't be surprised if I hit pan on it by the end of the year! x
DeleteThat's such a nice gold colour. MAC's eye shadows really are very nice but I don't think I'd ever go crazy and have a ton of the big palettes full like I see with some girls. I prefer diversity.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree, I do like their eyeshadows but brands like Urban Decay and some highstreet brands are just as good and cheaper! x
