FOTD | Cold Weather and Dark Lipsticks

Over the past few weeks the weather has gone downhill quickly and I'm loving it. I'm really excited about wearing cosy jumpers and getting my favourite darker lipsticks back out. We are only at the start of September but my makeup has already changed quite a bit, I thought I'd share my current everyday makeup with you since it's changed a lot recently. It has only been over the past couple of weeks that I've actually had more of an interest in makeup again as well. I spend all my time at home so don't see the point of wearing it everyday, I've fallen back in love with the process of putting on makeup and wearing it though so I've been treating myself to a few new products and playing around with them more and more.

Products used:

Benefit POREfessional
GOSH CC Cream in Porcelain*
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
NYC Beautifying Blushable Cream Stick in Soho Pink
bareMinerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer*
MAC Eyeshadow in All That Glitters
Makeup Revolution Mono Eyeshadow in Sold Out
Eye of Horus Goddess Smokey Eye Pencil in Black*
L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Luminizer for Brown Eyes*
MAC Lipstick in Syrup

As always I started off with my trio of well loved products, the Benefit POREfessional helps to smooth my skin out and create a clean base for my GOSH CC Cream and Collection Concealer. I've been using this little trio for a while now and I find that it is just what works best for me, I'll be surprised if I find a routine that works better! I do have one new addition though, the NYC Blushable Cream Stick in this beautiful muted pink, I don't want to say too much as I'll be doing a full review but I am really loving the consistency and colour of this product so far.

When it comes to my eyes I've been loving defining them a bit more with the help of a few products. Usually I just pop on a coat of mascara and maybe an eyeshadow or two but I've been wanting to define my eyes more recently. I finished my Urban Decay Primer Potion a little while ago so I've been using the bareMinerals Prime Time ever since and I've found that it has been working really well. I used 2 eyeshadows on top, although I forgot to photograph my MAC eyeshadow in All That Glitters, it is one of my favourite eyeshadows at the moment. I've found that it pairs really well with my new Makeup Revolution eyeshadow as well which I blended into the outer corners of my eyelid. Then I did something which I rarely do, I popped on a thin line of eyeliner on my upper lash line and I'm really loving how it looks so I'll definitely be doing it more often. Of course I finished it all off with a coat of mascara, I really like this L'Oreal one as it isn't super black, it is a lot more subtle than my other mascaras.

Finally I got out my favourite Autumn/Winter lipstick, MAC's Syrup. I adore this shade and I think it suits me really well, it isn't quite pink and it isn't quite purple, it is just a really nice mix of lots of different colours. If you are looking to treat yourself to a new lipstick this Autumn I would really recommend this one, it's really easy to wear and I think it would suit a lot of different people. It is a lustre lipstick so it isn't as long wearing as the others, it lasts for a good few hours before it starts to wear off though. It feels really soft on your lips thanks to the formula which is perfect for the cold weather as the wind and dropping temperatures dry your skin and lips out more.

If you can't tell, I am really liking the combination of all these products, I'd love to know what products you'll be reaching for a lot during the next few months! Leave me a comment below!
