MeMeMe Coral Blossom Cheek & Lip Tint | Review

In my previous post, My Summer Makeup, I wore a few new products including this cheek and lip tint from MeMeMe. It launched last month and I've been trying it out for a few weeks now, I'm a big fan of products like this so I've really been enjoying using it. I think nearly the whole beauty blogging community must be aware of the popular Benefit Tints by now and MeMeMe are one of the many companies who have tried to create something similar for a very different price. This isn't a comparison post but when I was using it I was definitely looking for similarities and differences between the two products, I wanted to know whether it was pointless spending lots of money on something that you could get for so much cheaper!

MeMeMe are a highstreet brand that you can buy online or in Superdrug stores, I'm guilty of walking straight past the brand a lot of the time but I've always been interested in their products. Their products are about the same price at Rimmel's and I think they are definitely worth taking a look at. This new Cheek and Lip Tint joins their small range of tints which includes a pink shade and a red/berry shade, adding this coral colour really brings together the products as there is a colour for everyone and every season now. I'm personally a big fan of wearing coral toned products in Summer so I've been using this a lot on both my cheeks and lips.

To start things off I really like the packaging, the design on the nail polish like bottle is pretty and I wouldn't expect it to be so nice as this product costs under £6. I love that they have paid attention to the small details on the bottle, it makes me want to keep the product out on my dressing table. The brush used to apply the tint is similar to that of a nail polish, it's easy to control and I have no complaints about it overall.

The actual product inside is a coral shade with tones of peach, perfect for giving your cheeks a warm glow during the hotter months. I didn't manage to get a very good photograph of this on but in my previous post you can see the coral glow it gives on my cheeks. This is a multi-tasking product that is meant for use on both your lips and cheeks but I've found it to work better on my cheeks. It just doesn't have enough pigment to leave a lasting effect on your lips but I really do love how it works on my face. I find it lasts for about 4 hours before it starts to fade, it is such an easy product to apply though so you can pop it in you bag and apply it on the go.

Despite the fact that it didn't really work on my lips I would still recommend this product, at only £5.50 it's a bargain even if it doesn't meet all expectations. I would especially recommend it if you have pale skin like me, unfortunately I don't think the pigment in this is strong enough to work on really tanned skin. In my opinion I say ditch the Benefit Cha Cha Tint if you have pale skin and go for this cheaper option!

Have you tried anything from MeMeMe?

  2. It's a shame it didn't work on the lips as it's a gorgeous shade. It's definitely something I'd like to try on my cheeks though :)
