Premae Lab Definitive Eye Creme | Review

I wouldn't say that my skin is really bad but the one thing about it that has bothered me for a while is my under eye area. For the past few years my skin has been dry but particularly the skin under my eyes, I've tried all sorts of eye creams to help it but nothing has seemed to have made a big difference. I find that concealer doesn't go on smoothly and my eyes always look quite dull and tired because of it so when this new eye cream came through my letterbox I hoped that it would help my skin, even just a little bit.

I've talked about Premae a lot on my blog ever since going to an event they did last year, I've tried a few of their products now and I'm really enjoying trying more. What I really love about their products is that I understand the ingredients in them, for example this eye cream contains coconut oil, mineral salts and vitamin K, I know what they all are! I'm not faced with an endless list of ingredients that I can't pronounce which is so much nicer, it's always good to know a bit about what you are actually putting on your face! I don't look at the ingredients list on all the products that I use but it's reassuring to know what is in at least a few of the products that I like.

Now I've spent ages waffling on I think I should actually talk about the product that I'm reviewing! This is one of Premae's newest products alongside their new foundation line which has recently come out. This eye cream has been designed using carefully researched and selected ingredients to help target fine lines, dark circles and dry skin amongst other things. Being young I don't have any problems with fine lines but I do have dark circles and dry skin so I was looking more at those areas more when trying this out.

The first time I used it I noticed the consistency of it quite quickly, it's a very light product which I really like, it means that a little goes a long way as well. It melts into your skin quickly with ease as well which is perfect as no one wants to be irritating their eyes by rubbing in product around them for a while! After using this product twice a day for about a week I started to slowly notice a difference, the skin under my eyes was feeling a lot softer and smoother. My concealer was going on a lot better as well which made me very happy as it made my concealer look nicer. I don't think that it has dramatically made under my eyes brighter but at the end of the day I'm just happy that it is helping my dry skin! Hopefully as I continue to use it more I'll notice more improvements.

At nearly £18 this is an expensive product but at the same time it does have 50ml of product in it which is more than the average eye cream contains! I know that this product is going to last me a while as well, definitely until at least the end of the year.

If you suffer from dry skin under your eyes and don't mind paying a little more then I'd definitely recommend this!

What eye cream do you use?

Shona x

  1. I think eye creams are life saves, and there's no time like when you're young to start preventing anti-aging! I get dry patches around my eyes in both summer and winter and always use different eye creams, I am definitely willing to spend more on an eye cream if it does the job properly! Thanks for your post. x

    1. Definitely! I tend to switch eye creams and moisturiser in the Winter and Summer as well but I think this one will do me for all the seasons :) x

  2. Oh I've never heard of this brand before! I don't use eye cream at all ha, I can never remember to!
