Empties #5

It's now been nearly 7 months since I last did an empties post and I have used up so much since then. Unfortunately for quite a few months doing an empties post wasn't at the top of my list so this is probably only about a third or what I've actually used up since the last blog post. I still have lots of products to talk about though, I've especially used up loads of lip balms!

I go through lip balms so quickly as you can probably see, I hate having dry lips and I always have a lip balm on me, I'm pretty sure I have one in nearly every room of the house! It would take ages to review them all so I'll just run through some of my favourites. Firstly my number 1 favourite is the Rose & Co Lemon Bon Bon Lip Balm which I really need to buy again. I love the subtle scent and it leaves my lips feeling really soft and it gives them a bit of shine. I've found that this leaves my lips moisturised for the longest out of all my other lip balms as well. Also I surprised myself by going back to the Balmi Lip Balms, I really enjoyed using them and I much prefer the new cube shaped design with the actual lip balm being shaped like a cone. I would definitely repurchase the Rose & Co lip balm and a Balmi one.

I'm surprised I've managed to use up 2 makeup products as I've hardly been wearing make up for the past 6/7 months! The first product is this Maybelline mascara which I have neutral feelings about, it isn't a bad product but I won't be repurchasing it. I like the flexible wand but the formula is just a bit too wet for my liking, it can make application a little messy and I always end up getting it everywhere, I much prefer the Falsies mascara. I have also finally used up my Urban Decay Primer Potion, I got this last year in a blogsale for about £5 and I fell in love with it. This is definitely the best primer I've used and once I've finished my others I'm definitely going to repurchase it.

I've finally finished all my Avon Room & Linen Sprays, it's definitely time to order some more. I absolutely adore these room sprays, they are by far the best I've tried and I'm sure I've gone through about 7 or 8 bottles now. The scent lasts and this lavender & chamomile scent is definitely my favourite as it is so light, calming and relaxing which is perfect for Summer. Another product that smells amazing is the Champneys Distant Shores Body Scrub, actually the whole Distant Shores range smells incredible. I have fallen in love with the unique scent, if you haven't tried this range you should at least pop into Boots and smell it, you'll love it! Last but not least I've finally used up my Johnsons Day Cream, this used to be my favourite moisturiser and I thought I'd be fine without it but after using other moisturisers for the past 6 months I definitely know that I need to repurchase this.

Hopefully I'll start doing empties posts more regularly now, if you all enjoy reading them!

Thanks for reading,
Shona x

  6. Wow you really do get through lip balms don't you! I have loads of them but rarely finish them, I think I completely used up one a couple of months ago. Mostly I just get bored of them and chuck them away! x
