Makeup Revolution Lipstick in The One | Review

You probably all know about the newest brand on the block by now, Makeup Revolution. I first came across them a few weeks back and they caught my attention straight away as they offer a budget beauty range. They kindly sent over a few products for me to try out so look out for a few more reviews of their products. Today I'm going to tell you about their £1 lipstick's, I've got the shade The One* to talk about it.

The range is similar to MUA, prices starting at £1, but I personally don't mind this. I have a low budget when it comes to buying makeup so I'll happily welcome another low budget beauty brand onto the high street! Their range is quite impressive for a brand that has only just started up, they've got everything from baked blushers to eye primers.

The colour I was sent, The One, isn't one I would have picked myself but this didn't stop me from giving it a go. It's a light brown toned nude shade, with perhaps very slight peachy undertones, I haven't fallen in love with the shade but I didn't think I would as I tend to lean more towards pink shades, especially when it comes to a nude lipstick.

For £1 this is a very creamy lipstick that feels nice on my lips but it does cling to dry patches a little, exfoliating your lips beforehand can help this though so that isn't a major problem in my eyes. It started fading after about 3 hours though and it didn't survive food at all. I was a bit disappointed, I didn't expect it to be the best lipstick in the world but I'm not sure if I'll be buying these in the future. At the same time though I've only heard good things about these lipsticks so far so I might be inclined to pick up another shade to see if it's just this one that I don't get on with.

Although I can't give this product a rave review I have been trying out 2 other products from the range which I like/love so look out for those reviews that should be coming up soon!
