My Favourite Spring Lip Products

Spring has well and truly arrived now, the weather has been quite nice recently and dare I say it but it hasn't rained for at least a few days! I really love Spring, all the colours and the longer days. My choice of lip products definitely changes dramatically as we go from Winter to Spring as well, I'm putting down my darker lipsticks and picking up some lighter and more pink colours. Also I definitely like to use more glossier lip products in Spring, with less eyeshadow as well. Today's post is all about the lip products I'll be reaching for the most this season though!

My go to lip colour shade has always been pink and I think that is the case for a lot of people, I find it suits me really well and it is a very easy shade to wear. Of course there are all sorts of pinks out there so I've picked a few of my favourites for Spring to show you today. Firstly this wouldn't be a very 'me' post if I didn't include a lip crayon! I'm already reaching for the Seventeen Lip Crayon in Playful, it's a very standard pink, a little brighter than my usual shade of choice though. This is a little out of my comfort zone as it is a bit brighter but it's perfect for Spring and looks really nice with just a coat of mascara and a bit of concealer for a simple look.

Lipstick wise I know I'll be using my MAC Lipstick in Lovelorn which is the first MAC product I ever got and it is still one of my favourites. I really love this lipstick as it feels really soft on my lips and it is a gorgeous colour that would suit a lot of people I think. It does have a lustre formula so only lasts for about 3-4 hours on me but it is really pretty so I don't mind re-applying a couple of times during the day. Lipgloss wise the L'Oreal Shine Splash Stain in Lolita is my product of choice. This is a gloss that I use all year round but I am particularly looking forward to using it this Spring. It is a bit darker than the other products but it has a gorgeous glossy finish and it stains your lips for a good few hours. I've got my eye on a few other shades from the range!

I love my pinks but I've recently taken a liking to more orange and coral shades, subtle ones though. I could never pull off a bright matte orange lip but I do like a hint of the colour on my lips sometimes and the Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya is perfect for achieving just that. This gives my lips a sheer tint of orange/coral, it is quite sheer but it's enough for me. It has a lovely glossy finish as well which is perfect for Spring. Another orange product that I'll be using is the Benefit Cha Cha Tint, I'm a big fan of the Benefit Tints and this one hasn't let me down. I do like using this on my cheeks but also on my lips. It stains them a coral/orange shade, it's a little bolder than the Revlon Lip Butter and it also isn't as glossy so it offers me a different option.
