Konjac Sponge for Tired/Devitalised Skin | Review

Last year I won a Konjac Sponge in a blog giveaway and I really loved using it for the first few weeks after I received it. Unfortunately though my Mum threw it out when she was cleaning the bathroom, I've wanted to pick up another since but I keep on forgetting. Konjac Sponges kindly said they'd send me one tailored to my skin type though, I was pretty excited about introducing it back into my skincare routine.

When you say 'sponge' people generally don't tend to get excited, a sponge is boring and doesn't really do much. The Konjac Sponges are very different though, I've been trying out the Sponge Puff with added French clay* which is perfect for tired and devitalised skin.

The Konjac Sponges are 100% natural, colouring free, additive free, vegan and biodegradable! You can use the sponge on your face and body but I've just been using it on my face, I might treat myself to a separate one for my body in the future.

This sponge has pink clay in it which helps to soften your skin, turning rough skin into radiant skin. It also helps to purify your skin and can be used on sensitive skin. It is a gentle sponge but stills exfoliates a little, leaving your skin looking revitalised. You don't necessarily need to use this with a cleanser but I do and I find that I don't need to use as much product when I use this with it.

I do feel like my skin has been softer since using this, especially straight after I've used it, I no longer feel like I need to slap on some moisturiser straight away as my skin is already smooth and soft. I've also found that my foundation and other base products have been sitting on my skin better as it is so smooth and clean.

Overall this isn't just a sponge, this has become a regular part of my skincare routine and I use it everyday now! You do have to buy a new one about every 2-3 months but that's no big deal because at £7.99 they don't exactly break the bank. You can forget using flannels and just use this.
