Recent Beauty Favourites

Since I haven't done a monthly favourites post since November I thought I would share with you some of the products I've been enjoying using recently, including makeup, skincare and haircare. I've been trying lots of new products over the past few weeks and I've found some real favourites so I thought it would be nice to share some of them with you! I won't be doing a February beauty favourites post, so I'll start doing them again from March onwards. For now though here are some of my recent beauty favourites and finds.

Elemis freshskin super boost moisturising serum* | £18.00 | buy here
For over a month now I've been trying out several different Elemis Freshskin products and one really has stood out to me. I will be doing a full post featuring all the products with some mini reviews but I had to talk about this serum now, I can't get enough of it. I have quite dry skin so I'm always hunting for the perfect moisturiser/serum to help combat it and I think I've finally found the right product for me. I won't say too much as like I said I will do a proper review of this but it really has helped my skin look less dull and it feels so much softer now, it gets a big thumbs up from me!

Dermalogica daily microfoliant* | £38.50 (75g) | buy here
Another brand that I've been trying out recently is Dermalogica and again this is a product from the ones I've tried that has stood out. Having such dry skin means it tends to get flaky and most base products highlight this a lot, for a while I've been trying out so many different exfoliators to help keep my skin looking smooth and soft. For me this is the ideal product as it is something I can use everyday without it being really harsh on my skin. It's a power formula which you mix with water and use everyday to keep your skin looking healthy and clear, I've found that using this along side the mentioned Elemis product has helped my skin so much, they are the perfect little daily skincare duo!

VO5 smoothly does it tame and shine spray | £3.89 | buy here
I've only used this VO5 product a few times but I already love it. My hair is so frizzy, lacking in shine and generally it is just hard to tame. I've been using this before straightening and curling my hair and it makes my hair look so much healthier and shiny, in a good non-greasy looking way! This also has heat protection in it so I only have to use this product rather than several different products that all do different things. I'll probably do a full review of this and the other smoothly does it product I've been using at some point as they are both fab!

EcoTools Bamboo Powder Brush | £9.99 | buy here
For a while now the only brand I've really turned to for brushes is Real Techniques but I was so happy to find that one of my best friends had kindly bought me this for Christmas, I've been wanting to try EcoTools for a while now. This brush is so soft and perfect for applying powder and blusher, it applies products lightly giving a natural finish. I've been using this non stop recently, it has definitely made me want to try more EcoTools brushes!

Maybelline the Falsies Mascara | £7.99 | buy here
Wet 'n' Wild Mega Protein Mascara | not available to buy in the UK
For mascara I've recently turned to this little duo to give my lashes length and volume. I've picked up the blogger favourite Maybelline mascara again whilst trying out a new mascara from Wet 'n' Wild that unfortunately isn't available to buy in the UK. I use the Maybelline mascara on my upper lashes as it gives me lots of volume and some length and I use the Wet 'n' Wild mascara on my bottom lashes as the brush is small and basic and it doesn't end up half way down my face by 3pm!

MAC Eyeshadow in Cranberry | £12.50 | buy here
This is the first MAC eyeshadow I've ever tried and it hasn't disappointed me one bit. I've already posted a full review of this, read here, so I won't say too much but I really like this shade. I didn't think I'd like cranberry too much and I was sure that it would be difficult to wear but I was very wrong. I've found this quite easy to work with and wear, I love putting a little bit of this on the outer corner, blending it through my crease a little as well. I'm already thinking about what shades I want next, I think I'm going to make up a little quad!

Korres Cherry Lip Gloss in Orange | £8.66 | buy here
I haven't been using lip products much recently, apart from this lipgloss that I've been reaching for nearly every time I wear makeup. If you want to see what it looks like on you can see in my recent FOTD here. It comes out as a glossy sheer coral shade that is so pretty, it makes your lips feel moisturised and soft at the same time. It isn't sticky at all as well, one of the things I often hate about lip glosses. I definitely want to get my hands on more of these glosses!

They are all of the products I've loved recently, I'd love to know what you've been reaching for a lot!

Thanks for reading,
Shona x
