OOTD | Loving Skater Skirts

Finally I'm getting round to posting an OOTD, I've wanted to get back into posting my outfits more often since my operation but the weather has just been shocking so as soon as I saw the sun come out the other day I dashed outside to take some pictures of what I was wearing. Do excuse my awful awful posing in these photos, I'm not too happy with how these turned out but it has been quite a while since I last did an OOTD so I'm letting myself off this one time.

Cardigan | New Look
Shoes | Primark

Ever since I bought this Skater Skirt I've been dying to style it and wear it out. I haven't worn a skirt (except as part of my old school uniform) for a few years as they never used to sit right on me because of my Scoliosis. As soon as I was home from the hospital after my operation I bought some skirts online straight away as I knew they would now suit me more and I think I was right. I really like the style and shape of skater skirts and also I surprisingly like red on me quite a lot! The skirt is quite a bold colour so I just paired it with a simple studded shirt, a plain cardigan and some black shoes. I also added in my new love ring from The Little Deer which I adore, I'm all about simple jewellery so this is perfect for me.

Let me know if you would like to see OOTDs more regularly on my blog!

Thanks for reading,
Shona x
