MAC Eyeshadow in Cranberry | Review

A little while ago I was lucky enough to win my first MAC eyeshadow from the oh so lovely Clare, take a look at her blog here! I've got a few MAC lipsticks but I've never treated myself to an eyeshadow as for me, someone who doesn't wear it everyday, £12.50 it is a lot to pay for one. A girl has to treat herself every now and then though so after trying this shade I'm so tempted to depot it and make up a little quad or duo.

This eyeshadow really does describe itself, it is a cranberry shade with a frost finish so it is shimmery and metallic. It has very finely milled glitter in it which creates its beautiful finish, also meaning it is very easy to work with and surprisingly easy to wear. It's also a soft creamy eyeshadow (don't worry it stays together perfectly!) meaning it is a dream to blend and apply.

I've used an eyeshadow similar to this before (MUA's eyeshadow in Shade 25) which I no longer have as I struggled to make it work for me. However I've found this MAC shadow very easy to work with and wear, I think the addition of more copper/red tones in it make it easier to work with compared to the MUA eyeshadow which is very purple. It is a little more purple in person though, my camera didn't seem to pick up the beauty of this shade as much as I would have liked it to.

Overall this is a shade that I really didn't expect to love but I do and it is a nice addition to my collection, I'm definitely thinking about slowly making my own little MAC eyeshadow quad so leave me your favourite shades in the comments below!

    1. Thanks :) The price puts me off as well but if I buy an eyeshadow every month or two it won't be as bad xx
