Picking the Perfect Prom Dress

Prom season is coming up now and it was about this time last year that I first started thinking about my school Prom. For me it wasn't an event that I got too excited about in the run up to it but one element that I was looking forward to was picking out a dress. Prom in the UK is a lot more low key than in America but it is definitely still a chance for you to glam up a little or show off your inner princess. My dress was very budget, £20 from New Look but a lot of my friends spent about £100+ on a dress, if you can afford it then who I am to stop you from splashing out on a beautiful dress. I also wanted to choose a dress that I could wear again but everything is up to you and what you can afford.

For those who maybe want to spend  a little more DressFirst would be a good place to start! Their Prom dresses start at about £70 and go up to about £200. I thought I would just share with you some of my favourites from their website!

Dress 1   |      Dress 2    |       Dress 3

At first I was adamant that I wasn't going to have a floor length dress but in the end I went for one and I'm glad I did, I really love some of the styles you can get these days, also there is more colour choice now, especially on DressFirst.

Let me know in the comments below if you have your Prom this year, I hope you find the perfect dress!

Thanks for reading,
Shona x

  5. I still have my dress, I am actually looking to sell it as I doubt I'll ever wear it again! It was a beautiful cinderella style in a lavender/pink colour covered in sequins. Felt like a princess, wish I could go back a few years haha!
