My Scoliosis Surgery/Recovery | 2 Months Post Op

I am now nearly 2 months post op, I can't quite believe it! I know my last update was about my week in hospital and I haven't said anything else about my recovery on here since then but I feel like between then and now things didn't really improve too much.

Things have changed a lot though, firstly I'm feeling a lot happier and more positive now. Also the problems with my knee that I talked about in my last update (read here) are still here but they are getting better. Last week I was not really sitting up or walking too much because of it but now I am going on daily walks that last for about 15 minutes at the moment and I'm sitting up a lot more and for longer, still only for about 15 minutes at a time though. Slowly though I'm able to increase the time I'm sitting and walking for so I know that soon enough I'll be back to normal.

We are hoping that if I keep improving like this then I will be able to start gradually going back to Sixth Form after the half term holidays, so in about 2-3 weeks time. I've been off a lot longer than expected and my recovery is taking longer than others but I know I am getting better at my pace which is the best I can do.

I thought I'd include an image of my scar as well, which is healing really well. The scar and how it looks really doesn't bother me one bit but I know it might bother others so I thought I'd show how it is healing and slowly fading.

My next update will probably be 3 Months Post Op after I've had my appointment with my surgeon, some of my restrictions could possibly be lifted then!

As always if you have any questions feel free to comment below or tweet me (@freshbeautyxox).
Thanks,
Shona x
