Guest Post // Top 5 Winter Lipsticks

When Shona asked me to do a guest post I jumped at the chance and thought it would be a great opportunity to share my top five winter lipsticks, so here they are.

Rimmel lasting finish - Shade 111 £5.49 //  This is the first red lipstick I bought and I absolutely adore it. It's a beautiful bold matte red that looks especially wonderful in Winter I think. I love wearing this with really simple make-up and pale skin, it almost makes me feel like snow white.

Rimmel lasting finish - Shade 107 £5.49 //  I've had this lipstick since last Winter and love the colder months cause it means berry shades are everywhere so I can get away with wearing this a lot more. I love wine shades that give that sexy vampy look, so when I saw this one and that it was matte I instantly fell in love. I personally like to wear this for day time looks but it's also a beautiful shade for a night out.

Rimmel moisture renew £6.49 - Glam plum fulham //  I will admit this shade does look very similar to the previous 107 just in a glossier finish and it pretty much is, although I think this shade has a little bit more pink. For those who don't like matte lipsticks but are longing after the much worshiped 107 this little baby is for you, as it gives that sexy vampy look with a nice glossy finish. I also find this shade a lot easier to wear in the day time and think it looks very Christmasy.

Soap & Glory - the missing pink £9 //  In the winter I tend to go from one extreme to the other, either I'm in a bold red/wine shade or a pinky nude. I love the dark nude pink shade of this lipstick and think it looks especially beautiful when wearing big chunky cream jumpers. I tend to wear this lipstick more in the winter as it's extremely moisturising so it keeps my lips full and crack free in these cold months.

MAC - Creme cup £15 //  Of course there had to be a MAC lipstick in this list and although it is a lipstick I wear throughout the year I do think it's a good pick for Winter. With Winter comes Christmas and with Christmas comes more parties and reasons to look a bit more dressed up and glamorous and I think this beautiful nude gives a wonderful elegant look. I wear this with the most basic make-up look for in the day to a beautiful nude smokey eye for a night out or special meal.
