Guest Post // Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil Review

Hey There Lovelies,

I’m Ali from my blog, http://thecutelittlebeautyblog.wordpress.com/, and I’m here on the lovely Shona‘s blog to do a review of a newer product to me, the Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in Melted Caramel Flame. It’s a lovely multi-use product and I’m excited to review it. So let’s get started!

First off, this is a crayon/ stick eyeshadow. The color I have is “Melted Caramel Flame” a lovely golden based brown.  It’s actually a great eyeshadow representation of “caramel”. The color goes against blue and green eyes beautifully because it contrasts with the cool tones of the blue and green because of the gold base. I think it would work with brown/hazel eyes as well to bring out the gold in your eyes.

As for formulation, this isn’t incredibly creamy but it does glide on pretty smoothly. For reference it’s definitely not as creamy as UD’s eye pencils but it’s not hard. I think its ease of use for creaminess is good, but could be improved upon. When it comes for lasting power, this bad boy last pretty long time though by the end of the day it’s pretty much smudged out and faded, but it lasts for at least 5 hours.

Overall, I think this pencil is great and can be used an eyeliner, crease color or all over lid color. If you’re into chubby/crayon eyeshadow pencil this little guy is definitely for you!

Thanks for reading!

Xo, Ali

    1. Thank you! I had mine designed by a lovely blogger called Serena, here's the link to her blog design shop :) http://www.prettywildthings.bigcartel.com/ xx

  3. They've only released these in the stores near us (we're from Australia). We haven't heard much about them so we've been hesitant to try them out for ourselves, but from the looks of it, it is something we should definitely try out. great review!
