Guest Post // Accessorize Baked Blusher Review

Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you to Shona for letting me guest post on her blog. I hope your operation went OK and you are recovering well!

Now onto the product review…

I was in Superdrug recently struggling to find a product to use in my 3 for 2 offer when I saw that the Accessorize stand had been restocked with lots of beautiful products. I have tried quite a few of the baked blushes before and loved them so decided to get one of the newer shades – Wowzer.

Wowzer is a bright candy pink shade with lilac veining. I was slightly worried at first that it might be glittery on the skin as in the pan the blush looks rather frosty. However there is no visible glitter, instead it leaves a beautiful sheen to the skin and brightens my complexion – eradicating the need for highlighter! Wowzer is extremely pigmented, however not at all overpowering as its intensity is very buildable. I’d say it lasts around 8 hours before it starts to fade which I think is fantastic for the price.

The packaging is the standard plastic compact with a transparent lid. The gold butterfly detailing is cute, but when put in my make-up collection it quickly rubbed off which I was slightly disappointed about. However it is sturdy enough and protects the blush just fine.

I’ve heard some compare the Accessorize baked blushes to the MAC Mineralize blushes. Although I’ve only tried one of the MAC blushes, I must say I wasn’t too impressed. There was a lot of visible glitter and I found it really hard to blend. I would definitely recommend the Accessorize blushes over the MAC as there is an obvious price different (£20 compared to £5?) and I find that the Accessorize ones are much softer and easier to work with.

I definitely recommend these blushes to everyone! I have been using this every day for the last month and must admit I now have my eye on another in the shade Scandal.

Have you tried these blushes? What did you think?
