Bargain ASOS Haul // Clothes and Accessories!

Recently I've spent so much time on the ASOS website making a massive wishlist of things I want to buy! Of course this wishlist ran into triple figures so when I wanted to make an order I definitely had to remove a few items from the basket. I did make a small order though so I thought I'd show you what I bought! I've ordered from a few other online stores as well so expect another haul soon when they turn up, I've even made another very small (one item!) order from ASOS, I can't resist a sale and free delivery. I've only got 4 items to show you but I've never done a ASOS haul on my blog before so I thought I'd share with you what I bought for the first time.

I have been loving the tartan trend recently and I thought it was finally time that I treated myself to something tartan, I've had my eye on a few skater dresses and skirts but this scarf really caught my eye. It is red and green, very festive, and is made out of the softest material I've ever felt! The fabric itself is quite sheer and thin but it is very big so layers up quite a lot to keep you warm and cosy. I found it in the sale for only £4.50, it was originally £12, so I snapped it up straight away and I'm so glad I did. If you are looking for a tartan scarf, or even if you aren't, I'd definitely recommend picking this up, it is a complete bargain!

The next thing I bought is a bit of a strange one, it is a Men's Primark Checked Shirt. You are probably wondering why I am buying Men's clothes? Well, I've been looking for a pyjama top that is a button up one for my upcoming operation but all the ones that I have come across either come in a set or aren't cheap enough for my budget. It suddenly occurred to me that a Men's shirt is practically the same thing and that I could probably get one quite cheap, especially from Primark! I found this checked one for £5, down from £8, in the sale on ASOS. It doesn't really matter whether it looks like a Men's shirt as I won't be wearing it out, just glad I saved myself some money! It is really nice and oversized as well which I love.

I have never ever bought a pair of leggings up until now. I have never liked them because most are see through and I get so paranoid that my clothes are see through so leggings were 100% no go for me. I've worn jeggings before but not leggings though. I've been trying to get lots of comfy and easy clothes to wear for after my operation and my friend suggested leggings, I thought why not as I won't be wearing them out much, if at all! I found these ASOS High Shine Leggings that have letters on, because they are white you can see your underwear through them (even white) so I won't be wearing these out but they will be good for at home, I'll just wear long tops as well! I really didn't want to pay much for something that I won't be wearing out though so picked these up as they were £6 down from £20. They are really comfy and fit me well, they are even long enough for my super long legs, they are mid-rise but a little high waisted on me which I like. I can definitely see me wearing these a lot despite my hate for them in past years. In fact I like these so much that I've ordered a darker pair of ASOS leggings which should hopefully feature in my next haul.

Finally I picked up another comfy piece of clothing, that I again found in the sale, that is always the first place I look! Another item of clothing that I have never owned/worn is jogging bottoms, they have just never appealed to me. I was told though that they are very comfy so figured that I should get some for post-op. Again I didn't want to pay much as I wouldn't be wearing them out so I looked in the sale and came across these Primark ones. They were £6.50 down from £9 and I love the star print. They are meant to be full length but they are more like 3/4 length on me so if you have long legs and order these be prepared that they will be a little short. They are however extremely comfy and I've barely taken them off since they arrived, they are really warm and aren't super baggy but enough that they don't restrict movement at all. I think I've got a new love for leggings and jogging bottoms!

I'm really impressed with my little bargain ASOS haul! In total I saved myself £27 which is pretty good I think! Instead of choosing free delivery this time I thought I'd get next day delivery for the first time, to see how good it was I guess and the idea of ordering my clothes one day and getting them the next made me quite happy! It cost £5.95 and my order did arrive the next day, you get a time slot of when your order will be delivered and my order was delivered right at the start of my time slot (which is an hour) so I was very happy. It is good to know that if I really do need something the next day that I can trust ASOS's service. However ASOS do a Premier service where you pay £9.95 and you get free next day delivery all year, 10 issues of their magazine, access to exclusive sales and early access to sales! I think it is definitely worth paying the extra £4 if you are getting next day delivery to get it free for a whole year, I think I might buy the service next year if I start ordering more often! I seem to have gone off on a tangent but I just thought I'd let you know!

What is your favourite online store to order from?

  2. I've only ever ordered from Asos once in my life, and although I wasn't unhappy with it, I probably wouldn't be ordering quickly again. However, this isn't from the brand itself, its just my hate for online shopping! Love the shirt. x

  6. I've always been a fan of ASOS, I remember when they first started and they were As Seen On Screen and most of the items had 'as seen on'.

If you do want to try wearing the white leggings out and about try flesh coloured underwear. Unless white fabric is really quite thick white underwear will always still show through to an extent but the majority of the time flesh coloured you won't be able to see at all. A little tip I learnt from my dance teacher for under our costumes (white leotards are always pretty much see-through!) :) x
