bareMinerals // The Power Neutrals Collection

bareMinerals is a brand I've heard a lot about but I haven't actually tried much from! I did try a little sample of one of their mineral foundations a while back, what they are most famous for, and I was impressed but up until now I hadn't dipped into the brand more! I actually I have a bareMinerals store near me and I'm always in there swatching products so when these products came through my letterbox I couldn't wait to start trying them!

The Power Neutrals Collection is perfect for creating an everyday look for work, shopping or a meal out! It's compiled of 5 full size products: a mascara, blusher, eyeshadow palette, lipstick and lipgloss.

First up is the bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow Palette in The Power Neutrals*. This palette includes 8 eyeshadows that are all well pigmented, blendable and long wearing. There is a mixture of 2 matte shades and 6 shimmer/stain shades, both formulas are lovely! The palette also comes with a double ended brush which is one you definitely wouldn't just toss into the bin. One end is a pencil eyeshadow brush and is perfect for applying colour to the outer V of you eye. The other end is a basic eyeshadow/blending brush, this one is a little scratchy though. This palette is definitely one of my top favourites out of the collection, I've been using it non stop!

The next product in the collection is this bareMinerals READY Blush in The One*. This is a nude pink shade with hints of peach running through it, very appropriate for a minimal makeup look! This is one product that I don't love but I don't dislike it either. The formula is lovely, the product stays together but it feels really nice and soft at the same time. It isn't as pigmented as I would like though which is a shame as it is a lovely shade, I'll still use it but you do have to use a little more product than normal I'd say. This product also comes with a brush that is very usable and perfect for on the go, it is really soft and picks up product well.

The second eye product in this collection is the Lash Domination 10 in 1 Volumizing Mascara in Intense Black*. This is my favourite product from the Power Neutrals Collection! It has 10 claims: Volumizes, lengthens, thickens, separates, lifts, all-day wear, mineral fortified, smudge-resistant, resists clumps and fights flakes! I'm always on the hunt for the perfect mascara and dare I say it but I reckon this is better than my beloved MUA Every Lash Mascara! First of all can we just appreciate this amazing brush for a minute!? The brush is spiralled to curve around every lash and coat your lashes from all angles and I think it does! No lash goes untouched when it comes to this mascara and the design of the product is a brilliant idea! When it comes to how it performs things just get better as well, this gives my lashes lots of volume, it lengthens them and lifts them! Also it does last all day without smudging and flaking, I think I might have found my perfect mascara!

Then finally we have the two lip products that feature in the collection. The first is the bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Rule Breaker*. This is a sparkling nude/peach shade that just doesn't appeal to me very much. Others may like this shade but it just isn't the kind of colour I wear. Also it is quite a thick and sticky gloss and it also smells quite minty. I didn't get on with this product, it just isn't for me!

The second lip product is the Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Make Your Move*. I've swatched these lipsticks in store quite a few times and the formula has always felt so nice so I was happy to see this product. I love the product but not the shade. It's quite an autumnal shade but I can't pull it off at all, it would definitely suit someone older a lot better I think. The product itself is lovely though, firstly I love the packaging, it's different and unique which is always good. The lipstick itself is creamy and non-drying, it sits on your lips nicely as well. As you can see it is also nicely pigmented! I can't talk about lasting time because I never wore it long enough to find out how long it lasts, everytime I caught myself in a mirror I cringed, I really don't suit this shade! Overall it is a lovely product though, I just wouldn't have picked this shade myself.

If you like the sound of all of the products then you can buy them as a set for £105 here, which is how much it would cost to buy them all separately. I was a little disappointed to see you aren't saving any money by buying them all!

Have you tried bareMinerals? If not what products would you like to try?

    1. It is fab, the eyeshadows are such high quality, definitely reflective of the price, each eyeshadow works out to be about £4 each so not bad considering that is about the same price as a highstreet single eyeshadow! x
