Autumn Nail Polish Picks

I've said it before but Autumn is definitely my favourite time of the year when it comes to fashion! I also however love the darker nail polish shades that Autumn bring! Don't get me wrong I love a pastel nail polish or two but my heart lies with the warm berry and khaki green shades that appear in the colder months! I've got 6 nail polishes to show you today that are just a few of the ones I'll be reaching for this A/W!

As I mentioned I love berry shades and also darker purples in Autumn and I have two nail polishes that I'm loving so far! First up is a new addition to my collection, it's the NYC In a New York Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in Manhattan. I was hunting in Superdrug for the perfect Autumn purple shade and this one caught my eye straight away! NYC have some fab nail polishes and are really affordable so this came home with me. It's a deep purple nail polish that is a simple but pretty shade to compliment any outfit!

The other nail polish has been a firm favourite of mine for a while and I wore it towards the end of the Summer a lot! Essie's Plumberry is a stunning berry shade with splashes of pink in it. It is probably my favourite nail polish at the moment. Also you only need 2 coats of it, it dries quickly and stays on for about 5 days without chipping!

Moving onto some darker shades I have another Essie Nail Polish to show you, this time in the shade Power Clutch. I wore this nail polish to death in A/W last year, I'm surprised there is any product left! Actually I posted about it nearly exactly a year ago today, read that post here! When it comes to green nail polishes, in my opinion, this really is the perfect one for Autumn and Winter! It has tones of grey in it but in a really flattering way, when this runs out I'll definitely buy another bottle!

Next is a nail polish I actually talked about a little in yesterday's blog post so I won't say much about it, you can read that post here. This A.K.A Cosmetics Nail Polish in Tarnish* is a silver metallic shade with fine glitter in and green tones running through it. This really looks stunning in the light!

Finally the last 2 nail polishes I want to talk about are both some sort of nail effects! The first one is the Maybelline Colour Show Nail Polish in Speckled Pink. I love layering this over white nail polish for a cute effect that takes no effort but looks great! I haven't used this in a while but when I used it last week it reminded me how much I love it and I can definitely see me using this throughout Autumn!

The next nail effects polish is from Rimmel and it's their Metal Rush Nail Polish in Royal Blue! This is another one that I've only recently rediscovered. I love layering this over a pale blue or lilac shade as with a darker shade you can't really appreciate the duo chrome amazing-ness of this! It's blue with purple and even a bit of green running through it, it's gorgeous!

Those are my picks for Autumn and I'll definitely be using these shades in Winter as well but if you want a Winter or even a Christmas version (glitters galore!) of this post let me know below!

What's one nail polish you are loving so far this Autumn?

Thanks for reading,
