Autumn Makeup Picks

Before I get on with the post just wanted to give you all a quick apology! I haven't been posting much lately and when I have the quality of my posts have been frankly poor! I also haven't been on twitter much recently so sorry if you've tweeted me and I haven't replied! I've just completely lost my blogging mojo, hopefully I'll be back to posting everyday soon though!

Today I'm talking about some of my Autumn Makeup Picks, these are just some products that I've been using a lot so far this Autumn. I've already shown you my Nail Polish Picks so I thought it was time to share some of my Makeup Picks!

When it comes to eyeshadow I tend to wear a bit more in Autumn, I've picked 2 very different palettes that I'm enjoying! The first palette is from Sleek, it's the Vintage Romance palette that is packed with purples, golds and navy shades! Just as the other Sleek palette I own all of the colours are well pigmented and long lasting. I love wearing purple and plum shades in the Autumn and will usually put a little pop of purple on the outer corners of my eyelids or a little just under my waterline.

If you prefer neutral eyeshadows more like me then this palette is great for you! Don't get me wrong I love my purples but I am more likely to reach for a neutrals palette. One of my new favourites is this Bare Minerals READY Eyeshadow Palette in The Powder Neutrals*. The shades in this palette are so perfect and are really nicely pigmented. It has a mixture of matte and satin shades in it and both formulas are equally as pleasing. The brush that comes with the little palette is actually really nice as well, it has a pencil shaped brush on one end and a more traditional eyeshadow brush on the other side. I am really impressed with this palette and will of course do a full review with swatches on it!

If I want a really simple look I will usually reach for this MUA Colour Blast Eyeshadow Stick in A Girl Like Me*. It's a simple but pretty bronze shade that will just give you a quick splash of colour. It is well pigmented, easy to blend and lasts nearly all day! I've been reaching for this for Sixth Form a lot recently as well.

When it comes to lip products there have been 3 that I've been reaching for recently. Firstly you all know how much I love MACs Syrup, I love the Lustre finish because it is sheer but has a decent amount of colour to it. It's a plum-y/purple kind of shade that is just Autumn in a lipstick!

The next lip product is one that I've been loving using for Sixth Form, I'm a big fan of this Maybelline Baby Lips Tinted Lip Balm in Cherry Me. This is a cherry tinted balm that makes my lips feel soft whilst giving them a tint of colour, perfect for school!

The last lipstick looks a little unfriendly when swatched but I promise you it looks a lot nicer on your lips! This is Rimmel's Kate Moss Lipstick in 08. I like to apply this then blend it out with my finger to soften the colour, it looks really Autumnal after doing this! It is a little bold for my liking hence why I blend it out.

When it comes to blush I find my skin can look a little dull in Autumn/Winter so cream and liquid blushers are perfect to brighten up my complexion! I love reaching for Benefit's High Beam and Posie Tint to make me look a little less dull! Also Sleek's Blush in Rose Gold is perfect for Autumn and makes me look glowing (in a good way!) whilst giving my cheeks a splash of colour.

    1. It really is, the quality is fab for a brand who mainly focuses on loose/mineral products! It really does, brightens up my skin a lot in autumn/winter! xx
