September Beauty + Non-Beauty Favourites

This month has gone so quickly and I can't believe October is only just around the corner! It's been my first month of Sixth Form so I've been busier than usual but of course I still have to time to talk about my favourite beauty products of the month! Also I decided to merge my beauty and non-beauty favourites posts into one as I haven't got too many non beauty favourites this month. I'll start off with beauty first, that's the most exciting part, right?

First up, eyeshadow! I haven't been the biggest lover of eyeshadow recently but I have completely fallen in love with these palettes! Like I said I haven't been using them both loads but enough to know that they'll be by my side all through A/W. I've already reviewed this GOSH Smokey Eyes Palette in Brown* so I won't ramble on about it too much! It's a really nice neutrals palette with all the colours you need. Don't get me wrong I love my Naked2 and MUA Palettes but sometimes you only want a few shades, this is a travel/handbag friendly size as well!

The second palette I've been loving is a new edition to my makeup collection! I won this Sleek Vintage Romance Palette in a giveaway and I've been loving using it since it came through my letterbox! I'll do a full review with swatches eventually of course. I'm pretty sure this is one of their newest palettes/collections, I certainly hadn't seen it before I took a look on the Sleek Makeup website! As always the shades are really pigmented and long wearing. I love purple and navy shades for Autumn and Winter and everyone has to wear a bit of glitter eyeshadow around Christmas, right?

Next up are 2 MUA products that I've already raved about on my blog but I have to include them in my favourites! The Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow Kit has become a really firm favourite of mine, I don't know what I'd do without it! The shades are perfect for my eyebrows and I love setting them in place with the wax which doesn't leave my eyebrows feeling stiff or looking fake.

The other MUA product I've loved is the new Colour Blast Eyeshadow Stick in A Girl Like Me*. I love a good cream eyeshadow or 5 so this was a welcome addition to my collection. It's really creamy and blendable but also lasts nearly all day with a primer. I don't find it creases on me but I like to wear a primer anyway. The shade is also so perfect for a simple Autumn look!

This month 2 lip products have stood out to me! The first is the newest lipstick to my small MAC collection, I was lucky enough to win this and I chose the shade Syrup after Angelica from One Little Vice kept on telling me how much she loves it! I have to completely agree with Angelica's feelings towards this lippie as well, it is such a lovely shade! I can't wait to do a full post about it, I think it is definitely my new favourite lipstick! I never would have picked this shade out in a shop but I completely surprised myself by falling in love with it! Look out for a full review soon.

The next lip product is one that the lovely Sophia from Tattooed Tealady sent me! I definitely prefer lipsticks over lipglosses but that doesn't meant I'm not open to a gloss or two! Revlon are a stand out brand for me when it comes to highstreet lip products so I expected great things from this! This is one of their Super Lustrous Lipglosses in Life's a Peach, like the first lip products it's a shade I wouldn't have picked up myself. Once again I surprised myself though as in the short space of time I've had this I've been wearing it non stop! The formula is so soft and creamy and the shade is a sheer peach colour, not too summery for the cold months that are upon us.
I couldn't find this online, I think this shade might have been discontinued, sorry!

For mascara this month I've been reaching for the Maybelline Falsies Waterproof Mascara. I get so worried at school that my mascara is half way down my face so I've been reaching for this a lot to put my mind at rest. My MUA Every Lash Mascara is really long wearing as well but the one I picked up last time wasn't the waterproof version so I didn't want to risk using that. I'm glad I've been reaching for my Maybelline Mascara though as it does last all day and it gives my lashes lots of volume!

I don't usually wear blush to school but recently I've been enjoying adding some colour to my face with the Benefit Posietint. I love using a brush to blend a little bit of this in, it adds some colour to my cheeks and makes me look more alive in the morning. The best part is that I can guarantee it's going to last all day! I also use it on my lips sometimes for a little pop of colour.

Finally my last product is another favourite from Benefit! Recently a product has broken me out really badly, I'm narrowed it down to two culprits so now just to find out which one did it! To combat my spotty face I've been using this Boo Boo Zap! Solution for Problem Skin. This isn't a overnight miracle worker but it certainly does help get rid of my spots quicker!

I know this post is already quite long but I still have a few favourites to share with you! I'm not the biggest music lover but I have really enjoyed a band and a song this month!

Firstly I've had We the Kings on play all the time! If you are a keen youtube watcher like me you might know them from Charles & Alli Trippy's channel CTFxC, they are daily vloggers. I didn't actually find them through CTFxC but it is fab to see one of my favourite daily vloggers in the band! I just love their music, I'd love to go see them play live, I've never said that about any band as well really (well minus Mumford and Sons!). Music wise I have one more favourite and that's Katy Perry's new song Roar. I've never been a big Katy Perry fan but I really love her new song! I may or may not sing along in my bedroom...

That's it for this month! I'd love to know one of your beauty favourites below, or a non-beauty favourite, you decide!

Thanks for reading,
Shona x
