MUA Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow Kit // Review

One thing that I always hear makeup artists and bloggers go on about is how your eyebrows frame your face but up until a couple of months ago my eyebrows were very neglected! Over the last few months though I've been trying to make my eyebrows look a bit tidier and I've also been trying to find a eyebrow powder that matches the colour of my eyebrows. I've never gotten my eyebrows waxed/threaded professionally as well! I pluck them myself, I honestly don't think the pain is that bad but I know others find plucking quite painful. I do plan on getting my eyebrows waxed at some point though but for now I'm armed with my tweezers and this little eyebrow kit!

I've only ever tried one eyebrow kit before and none of the shades in it seemed to suit my eyebrows but finally I think I've found the perfect little kit for me and it happens to be from my favourite brand, MUA! This rather nifty kit comes with 3 eyebrow powders (one claims to be a highlighting shade but it definitely isn't!), an eyebrow wax to keep your brows in place, a mini double ended angled brush and some mini tweezers. For only £3.50 I think that is pretty impressive, you get quite a lot! It is a handbag friendly size as well with a mirror so it's perfect for touch up's or applying on the go.

Personally I use the top right shade the most with a little bit of the darkest shade mixed in. The bottom left shade claims to be perfect for highlighting under your brows but I wouldn't recommend using it as a highlighter! I've found it's a nice base shadow shade for your eyelids though. When I've finished filling in my brows, which can take quite a while as I'm still a beginner, I use the mini doubled ended brush to apply a little of the brow wax to keep the little stray hairs in place. The mini brush isn't great for applying the actual product, unless you are on the go and it is all you have, but I do find it is good for applying the wax!

As you can see I'm still not the best at filling in my eyebrows but I'm getting there and this little kit is making things a lot easier for me! Overall I really would recommend this eyebrow kit to you all, it is such a bargain and a new favourite of mine!

You can buy the MUA Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow Kit for £3.50 at selected Superdrug stores or online here for the same price.

  2. I have MUA's Eyebrow Pencil (which was only £1) and love it. I like the look of this kit, but I can't believe they claim the bottom left shade is good for highlighting! On my skintone it would be more like a bronzer!

    1. I've tried the eyebrow pencil but they don't do a shade that matches my eyebrows well enough :( I know, very good as an eyeshadow though :) xx

  7. I have only used eyebrow pencils or felt tip ends - I've been looking for a eyebrow kit such as this one and for the price I suppose you can't go wrong either!

    1. I like the idea of a felt tip as you could draw on little hairs! You really can't for only £3.50! x

  8. I'm so glad you did this review! the colours look really good not too red :) and your eyebrows look great I personally don't get mine done because I feel like you can do just as a good job with a pair of tweezers and a bit of practice :)
