GOSH Smokey Eyes Palette in Brown // Review + Swatches

It's no secret that GOSH are one of my favourite brands now! In the space of 6 months or so they've gone from being a brand I walk pass in Superdrug to a brand that I'm always looking at and lusting over their products! GOSH really don't get the credit they deserve so look out for a few reviews coming up of their products! Today I'm starting off by talking about their Smokey Eyes Palette in Brown*.

Firstly I have to talk about the packaging, this palette is just stunning! The layout of the eyeshadows and just the appearance of the palette is enough to make me want to buy all the shades! This palette is a really nice size as well, it has enough shades but is still small enough to be great for travelling. The packaging is really sturdy also so I can't see it smashing anytime soon or the eyeshadows.

Onto the actual eyeshadows now. I'm such a sucker for neutral shades and if you take a look at my eyeshadow collection you won't find many bright colours! I think GOSH have got the colour combinations spot on with this palette, they all go together so well. The shades all have some level of a soft shimmery finish but the last 2 shades do lean more towards a semi-matte finish. Personally I love semi-matte finishes, I like wearing matte shades but it is nice to still bring some light, shimmer and dimension to your eyes!

The palette comes with a transparent overlay which shows you which shade is supposed to go where etc. Obviously you don't have to stick with this but I think it is really handy for people who are new to eyeshadow! The shades are great for beginners as well, they are easy to work with and can create an array of different looks from a simple 2 shade look to a more smokey night time neutral look. I've been using this for Sixth Form or more lazy makeup days to create simple looks!

The eyeshadows themselves are really nicely pigmented and the formula is soft but firm so you don't get any fallout. They are really blendable as well which is a must have quality of an eyeshadow for me! I'm so impressed with this palette, I really didn't expect to love it this much! I've got my eye on the shade Black now, it looks like the perfect little palette to create a classic smokey eye!

You can buy the GOSH Smokey Eyes Palette in Brown* from selected superdrug stores or online here for £7.99!
