My Makeup Collection // Lip Crayon's

I have really been enjoying writing up these makeup collection posts and you have all seemed to love them to! For once I've actually stuck to a series! I knew this part of the series would come around eventually and it has been requested to show you my lip crayon collection. It is quite big but I don't have that many lipsticks and lipglosses so that makes it OK right? Don't judge, I love a good lip crayon or 9...

Seventeen Lip Crayon in Playful | buy here | full review here
The Seventeen Lip Crayons feel really moisturising on your lips and this shade gives your lips a glossy shade of pink, perfect for everyday wear or you can build it up for more of a bold look. I find it stays on my lips for about 3-4 hours, it definitely doesn't stain your lips like other brands do but I do like it overall, it just isn't my favourite!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Cherish | buy here | full review here
This is the first of 3 of my Revlon Balm Stains. Revlon are definitely my favourite brand for lip crayons! The shade Cherish is much like my Seventeen Lip Crayon but this one almost has a bit of lilac running through it which I love. In my opinion Revlon last the longest as they do stain your lips like promised. They are also really moisturising and pigmented, as you can see.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey | buy here | full review here
Honey is one of my favourite shades, I have to admit the photo doesn't do it justice, it is more pink in person. This shade is so easy to wear and is probably my most worn shade, it is also the shade that started this obsession off! I'm blaming my parents as it was a Christmas present! Just like the last shade I find this one to be moisturising and long lasting as well.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling | buy here | full review here
This is my last shade from Revlon, the product itself looks very lilac but when applied it settles to more of a pink with lilac tones running through it, it isn't similar to Cherish though. I also find this one to be moisturising and long lasting! Revlon really did hit the nail on the head with these!

MUA Power Pout in Rendezvous | buy here | full review here
MUA are definitely my second favourite brand for lip crayons, they come so closely behind Revlon! Rendezvous is a warm nude shade with pink running through it, the picture does make it appear more pink than it is though. These are so incredibly pigmented as you can see, super glossy and moisturising! They don't last as long as Revlon but I can't find the word stain anywhere on the packaging so it sounds like they don't claim it will stain your lips, I don't mind though because for only £3 these are fab! If these lasted longer they'd definitely be my favourite!

MUA Power Pout in Runway | buy here
This shade, Runway, looks scary in the bullet but it is actually more wearable than I first thought! I've completely fallen in love with this orange shade, it has red and pink tones running through it so it doesn't appear block orange. Again this shade is really moisturising, glossy and really nicely pigmented!

MUA Power Pout in Broken Hearted | buy here | full review here
My last Power Pout is in the shade Broken Hearted, which is a really nice everyday pink but with darker maybe even berry tones running through it, I can see me reaching for this a lot during Autumn! Again like the last two shades it is moisturising, pigmented and glossy!

LOOK Beauty Fat Lips in Snog* | buy here | full review here
Finally we have my LOOK Beauty Lip Crayons! These are unfortunately my least favourite from the brands I have, that doesn't mean I don't like them though. They do have glitter in them resulting in an almost metallic finish but they are really nicely pigmented and also slightly glossy at the same time. Snog is very similar to the MUA Power Pout above.

LOOK Beauty Fat Lips in Pucker* | buy here | full review here
Pucker is similar to the MUA Power Pout in Runway but it is a bit lighter and not as pigmented. This shade also has some glitter in it but the metallic finish isn't as prominent as the previous shade, it's slightly more glossier. I find both shades last about 3 hours on me, so not the longest time but I can live with it!

So, there we go! That's my slightly embarrassing collection of lip crayons! I know some people are bored with everyone coming out with them but I'm still loving them and can't wait to see who comes out with them next! I've got my eyes on the ELFs, No7's and Bourjois's offering at the moment! Hold me back or I'll buy them all!

Are you a lip crayon fan or do you think they are over-hyped?

Thanks for reading,
Shona x

  1. I love lip crayons too and have most of these. You should try the Vivo ones, they're really pigmented and half price at the moment. I love the sweet jar storage too, wheres it from?

    1. Thanks :) They do look really nice! I haven't heard much either but what I have heard is good and for the price it's got to be worth picking one up! xx

  3. I love my one lonely Lip Crayon, I didn't realise there was such a variety of brands that did them. It is so useful to see them on someone's actual lips as they can seem a totally different colour when worn! I'm more one for lipstick (my collection of lipsticks is exhaustive!) but Lip Crayons are great for a more casual/relaxed affair.

  4. Great post Shona! I actually don't own a single lip crayon, for the sole reason that there are just so many to chose from and I don't know which brand to go for first! I think I might be picking up some of the ones you reviewed here, they look lovely :)

  5. Ive loved reading your makeup collection posts :) Lip crayons are definitely my favourite lip product, they might not be as glamorous as traditional lipstick but they're so easy to wear and the staying power is usually better! I've been loving the MUA power pouts recently, I think I might even prefer them to the Revlon ones. It sounds weird, but there's some really nice ones in Poundland too by the brand 'Chit Chat' :) xx

  8. I love this post, I only have the Revlon lip crayons but they are my most used lip product and I use them everyday, I don't have any of the same shades as you but love the look of Honey. I'm really interested in trying the MUA especially as they are only £3. I really really want to try the new Bourjois ones too.
