My Makeup Collection // Concealer, Foundation & Primer

Like I said in my last makeup collection post this series is proving to be quite popular so today I'm continuing by showing you my bases collection including concealer, bb cream, primer and my one powder! Only recently has my bases collection grown. I never used to wear foundation ever, I just couldn't find one pale enough or just one that wasn't orange! I didn't use primer until a little while ago either, the only product I was really using everyday was concealer! I still don't wear primer and foundation everyday though because I just don't need it all the time, I'd say I probably wear it about twice a week!

These are my two BB Cream's that I adore! I'm such a BB Cream lover as I don't want or need much coverage and I don't want to cover up my freckles either as I've grown to love them! I've been using the GOSH BB Cream for a while now after Kat from Tales of a Pale Face recommended it to me as they did really good pale shades. If you have pale skin then this is the one for you, it isn't orange at all! I still haven't done a full review of this but look out for one soon! GOSH have also just brought out a CC Cream and the shade range is just as good!

My other BB Cream is the Diorskin Nude BB Creme* which is in the palest shade also. I haven't had this for long but as you all know I am loving it! It is a tiny bit too dark but with lots of blending down my neck it looks OK. Hopefully there should be a full review of this up by the end of the month!

Recently I was lucky enough to win Brogan's Benefit Giveaway and this is one of the products that I won, Benefit's famous POREfessional. I haven't had it for long so can't say much, I have been enjoying using it so far. I find it does minimise the appearance of pores and it does slightly increase wear time of my BB Cream. They'll be a full review of this eventually!

I think the MUA Undress Your Skin Flawless Skin Primer was the first face primer I tried. I love the texture of it, you don't need much, I find it creates a really nice smooth base. It is great for the price but it isn't my favourite primer at the moment. If you are on a budget then this is perfect for you!

Next is the Collection Primed & Ready Face Primer which I've had for a little while now but I still haven't properly tried it! I must remember to crack this out and give it a proper go.

The last face Primer I have is another prize from Brogan's Giveaway, it's one of Benefit's newest products, the Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer. I haven't really used this properly yet as I've been using POREfessional more. I can say that I adore the packaging of this product, it's so cute!

My first concealer is the much loved concealer by many bloggers, Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer! This is my all time favourite concealer, this one is nearly finished so I must remember to pick up a new one. This just covers everything from dark circles to blemishes!

Next up is Maybelline's Dream Lumi Touch Concealer which I do really like but don't reach for that often. The shade isn't a perfect match for me but I am still able to make it work. I find it does brighten up under my eyes but it also does cover my dark circles as well.

I use this Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer with my Collection one when I need more coverage or when I have discolouration under my eyes or just anywhere on my face. It works really well with my Collection Concealer, together they are the perfect concealer pair!

Finally my last concealer is the MUA Hide & Conceal Concealer Stick which I really don't like. I'm planning on throwing it out after this post! I just find it gathers up under my eyes and sticks to dry patches. It covers well for the price but it just doesn't look very nice on your skin!

I also have 2 Benefit Sample Sizes, one is Girls Meets Pearl and one is the That Gal Primer. I haven't used either of them in a while so I think it is about time I got them out again!

The last product is my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, it's my only powder. I really love this, it keeps any Shine at bay and it sets my bb cream into place!

What are some of your favourite bases products?

Thanks for reading,
Shona x

  3. I'm dying to dry the Dior BB Creme but the idea of putting down that much money for it makes me a bit woozy- although I had no problem with the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, which is almost the same price! Lovely post!
