When I have been wearing makeup I've been reaching for these base products! Benefit's POREfessional Primer has become a favourite of mine very quickly. I haven't used many face primers before but I definitely know that this is the one for me! It creates such a smooth base and I can definitely tell a difference when I use this before foundation and when I don't. It really does minimise the appearance of pores but doesn't make my skin feel oily either which I was a bit worried about!
My second base favourite is the new GOSH CC Cream which is definitely my Number 1 favourite of the month! I really thought I'd found my perfect foundation when I tried their BB Cream but I was so wrong as the CC Cream is even better. It gives me just enough coverage, meaning it covers my red cheeks but doesn't camouflage my freckles which I have learnt to love! You can read my full review here.
Mostly for the whole month of August I've been using my Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me. I know people have really mixed opinions on these but I personally really love them! This gives my lips a pink-ish red-ish tint and keeps them moisturised. It is a simple product that doesn't do anything fancy but it does enough for me, it may just be a tinted lip balm but I love it!
For blusher the only one I've picked up this month is NYX's Powder Blush in Peach. I find this has just enough pigment to give my cheeks a nice peach glow and it lasts all day! I would love to try more of their powder blushers as I really enjoy using this shade.
Instead of repurchasing my S&G Hand Food when it ran out I turned to my Crabtree & Evelyn Summer Hill Hand Therapy Hand Lotion. I really forgot how much I love this and I definitely won't be needing to repurchase my S&G one as this one does just as good a job! It is also quite a big tube as well and you don't need much so I should think this will last me a while.
I haven't really been painting my nails much this summer because I've just been to lazy to do so! However when I have painted my nails I've gone back to Essie's Nice is Nice which I think is an old limited edition shade that I was given last year by a friend. It is such a lovely lilac shade, I think it will be perfect for Sixth Form! A shade close to this Lilacism I think.
Look out for my non beauty and fashion favourites coming up soon!
