August Favourites // Beauty

This month I haven't got too many beauty favourites as it has just been too hot to even think about wearing make up! Also I haven't really got many new products to talk about because I only bought myself some new beauty bits towards the end of the month so can't really include them. My favourites for this month have been very firm favourites though so let's crack on!

When I have been wearing makeup I've been reaching for these base products! Benefit's POREfessional Primer has become a favourite of mine very quickly. I haven't used many face primers before but I definitely know that this is the one for me! It creates such a smooth base and I can definitely tell a difference when I use this before foundation and when I don't. It really does minimise the appearance of pores but doesn't make my skin feel oily either which I was a bit worried about!

My second base favourite is the new GOSH CC Cream which is definitely my Number 1 favourite of the month! I really thought I'd found my perfect foundation when I tried their BB Cream but I was so wrong as the CC Cream is even better. It gives me just enough coverage, meaning it covers my red cheeks but doesn't camouflage my freckles which I have learnt to love! You can read my full review here.

Mostly for the whole month of August I've been using my Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me. I know people have really mixed opinions on these but I personally really love them! This gives my lips a pink-ish red-ish tint and keeps them moisturised. It is a simple product that doesn't do anything fancy but it does enough for me, it may just be a tinted lip balm but I love it!

For blusher the only one I've picked up this month is NYX's Powder Blush in Peach. I find this has just enough pigment to give my cheeks a nice peach glow and it lasts all day! I would love to try more of their powder blushers as I really enjoy using this shade.

Instead of repurchasing my S&G Hand Food when it ran out I turned to my Crabtree & Evelyn Summer Hill Hand Therapy Hand Lotion. I really forgot how much I love this and I definitely won't be needing to repurchase my S&G one as this one does just as good a job! It is also quite a big tube as well and you don't need much so I should think this will last me a while.

I haven't really been painting my nails much this summer because I've just been to lazy to do so! However when I have painted my nails I've gone back to Essie's Nice is Nice which I think is an old limited edition shade that I was given last year by a friend. It is such a lovely lilac shade, I think it will be perfect for Sixth Form! A shade close to this Lilacism I think.

Look out for my non beauty and fashion favourites coming up soon!

What was your favourite beauty product in August?

  3. Love that shade of blush! I haven't tried that one. I have Pinched but the Peach shade seems like a simple easy one to wear all the time :)

  10. Porefessional is amazing, but I'll stick to my Witch is cheaper but just as good. Essie varnish is really pretty, I think I've got To Buy or Not to Buy which is close to it, so I might change colours tonight :)
