Top 5 Summer Nail Polishes // Collab w/ Tattooed Tealady

Summer is finally here! I don't know about you but I wear nail polish  a lot more in the summer so it seemed appropriate to share some of my current favourites with you. You may have already seen as well that this post is another collaboration with the lovely Sophia from Tattooed Tealady. Our last collaboration was all about summer scents but it is time for the perfume to take a step back because this time we are both sharing our Top 5 Summer Nail Polishes.
Take a look at Sophia's picks here.

First up is a stunning Essie Nail Polish that I actually used just before I wrote this post. This is Essie's Fear & Desire, a vibrant and bold orange. I tend to be quite plain when it comes to fashion so I find a bright nail colour in the summer is enough to make things a bit more colourful! The formula of Essie's nail polishes are fab as well, I find they dry quite quickly and the brush on this particular shade is really wide meaning application is quick and easy. If you love the look of this very summer appropriate shade but aren't sure about the £7.99 price tag head over to Fragrance Direct where you can pick it up for £1.99!

I wouldn't blame you if you are sick of me talking about this nail polish but I couldn't not include it in my Top 5! In summer no one wants to be fussing around with their nail polishes every few days in the heat, you want a long wearing nail polish, right? This Collection Lasting Gel Colour in Watermelon lasts at least a week on my nails! This shade is so summer perfect as well, I'm not the biggest fan of pink but in the summer I seem to fall in love with pink shades! You can buy it here for £3.19.

Bourjois are a brand I've never really looked at before for nail polish but I definitely will be browsing their stand in Boots more after trying this nail polish. This is the 1 Seconde Nail Polish in Blue no Blues. The brush on this is really wide so application is easy and quick. I find it dries really quickly as well! The shade is just, amazing, it is definitely my favourite nail polish at the moment! You can buy it here for £5.99.

Next up is another nail polish from Essie, this time in Plumberry. This is a more end of summer transitioning into Autumn shade I think, it is a lovely raspberry pink but with plum and red undertones. This shade doesn't have the wide brush but I don't have any problems with application and it dries quickly as well. I couldn't actually find this shade on the Boots/Superdrug website or Fragrance Direct!

And last but certainly not least is Revlon's Brilliant Strength Nail Enamel in Provoke. This is a gorgeous creamy orange shade, it isn't pastel but it isn't neon. It has a really nice brush which isn't too wide and isn't too skinny and it applies really nicely. I think this is a great shade for people who don't like wearing bright shades but want something a bit more summery and bold! You can buy it here for £7.99.

There are my Top 5, now go over to Sophia's blog and read about hers!
