Hey Everyone!
I’m Nuala from MakeUp, Beauty, Shopping and the lovely Shona has asked me to do a
guest post on her blog!
The post I have decided to do for Shona is on my MAC Pigments.
This is what MAC have to say about their pigments:
“Pigment is a highly
concentrated loose colour powder that contains ingredients to help it adhere to
the skin. Pigment comes in an excellent range of colours. Use to create a
subtle wash of colour or an intense effect. Pigment does not streak or cake, is
easy to blend and long-lasting. Please note: Pigments are sold by weight not
volume. Containers can appear to be less than full due to settling of the
product.”
The Pigments that I have in my collection are:
MAC Vanilla Pigment
MAC Melon Pigment
MAC Tan Pigment
I love these
little pigments!
They look so
pretty in their little pots and even though I don’t use them all the time, I
love having them in my collection.
MAC Pigments
are very versatile and here are just some of the ways you can use them:
1.
Eyeshadow. This is perhaps the most obvious thing to use these for but they look
great on the lids and are very long wearing. The colour can be built up to be
very intense and they are a lot more pigmented than regular eye shadows.
2.
Highlighter. I love MAC Melon Pigment and MAC Vanilla Pigment for this. MAC Melon
looks really pretty as a highlight if you have a nice tan and MAC Vanilla is
perhaps better for fairer skintones (like Shona’s!)
3.
Body Shimmer. You can mix MAC pigments in with your favourite moisturiser to give
yourself a gorgeous shimmer on your arms, décolleté or legs!
4.
Nail
Polish. You can mix these in with clear nail polish to create some amazing
nail colours!
5.
Lip Product. You can apply these on top of lipstick. Think ombre lips or giving your
lips a bit more dimension!
As MAC pigments are a loose powder though, you have to be very careful
with these and not knock them over!
With MAC Pigments, you get 4.5g of products for £16.50. I know this may
sound like a lot, but if one pigment will literally last you forever! I really
don’t think I’ll ever be able to use one of these up fully, even if I wear them
every day for the next 10 years! As you get so much product with one pigment,
an idea might be going haves with a friend and splitting the pigment. It works
out a lot cheaper this way!
Well thank you for taking the time to read my guest post on Shona’s blog, and thank you Shona for letting me do a post for you!
I know Shona has her operation coming up soon, so I’d just like to
finish by saying good luck and fingers crossed for you. I hope everything goes
well and that you are feeling better soon!

A big thank you to Nuala for guest blogging for me! Her blog is a favourite of mine so make sure you go and take a look at it and leave her a lovely comment! Personally I've never really used pigments but after seeing this post I think I might try some after my Spending Ban. I think I'll start small though, maybe Barry M Dazzle Dusts. Thanks again Nuala, her link is at the top xx
Love both of your blogs :) And those pigments look gorgeous! They have a pinky-rosey one I'd really love to try, can't remember the name right now though..and good luck with your operation hope everything goes well! xxx
ReplyDeleteAhh I think I know the one you mean, isn't it called Rose? I think Tanya Burr used it in one of her vids on YouTube, the xmas one she done :) xxx
DeleteGreat neutral pigments. It's nice to have these around.

They're lovely and one pot will last you forever as you get so much product :) xx
DeleteI think I'm the only person alive that doesn't own any of these. Poor unfortunate me! Haha! I really like Vanilla. It looks like it would be perfect for the inner corners of the eye. The more I look at it, the more I really want it. It's very pretty. It kinda reminds me of Stila Kitten shadow, but it looks way more pigmented. What do you think?

I've not tried Stila kitten (it's on my wishlist!) you're right though vanilla is really oretty, I usually wear it in the inner corner or as a brow highlight :) xx
DeleteGreat post :) I love MAC pigments, I use Vanilla a lot, my only gripe with them is they used to be so much bigger for a lot less money, naughty MAC! ha ha, but they are lovely, I love the look of Aurora, I might have to have a cheeky purchase ;) lots of love xxxx
