Experimenting | Sleek Matte Darks Palette #1

You've already seen my first experimenting look using the brights palette from Sleek but today I'm showing you the first look I've created using the darks palette I also bought.

Darks Palette Review (and swatches) | Brights Palette Review + Swatches | Brights EOTD

I've never been one to go crazy dark with my eyeshadow so I thought I'd start small by using the brown shade in the palette and a warm red/brown shade. Also this post is very picture heavy!

I used Paper Bag (the brown shade) all over my lid and blended it out. Then I went in with Maple (Red/Brown shade) to warm up my crease and used Pillow Talk as a highlight on the inner corners. I think I should have gone further up with Maple so you can see it more but the point of doing these posts is so I can learn what works and what I need to do different next time.

For mascara I used the VIVO VPL Mascara in Black.

Before I used my Sleek Palette I used my Maybellline Colour Tattoo in Permanent Taupe. Its a light brown/grey and its matte so its a perfect base for my matte look. I also used this under my eyes a little but I didn't go all the way into the inner corner.

On my waterline I used my Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner in Nude to open up my eyes.

I used my Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch in 01 first but its a little orange for me and doesn't have too much coverage. So, I used my Collection Concealer underneath for more coverage.

I also used my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in Light Porcelain. I'll be doing a full review on this eventually but so far I really like it. I don't like it on its own though as I prefer a matte finish so I used my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent to set it. I like the way these two work together.

In my next experimenting posts I'm going to show you some more dramatic looks I've created!

Let me know what you think of this look.

Thanks for reading,

    1. I usually use my canon powershot A800 which is a great digital camera, it gives beautiful pictures and its a cheap camera but for this post and most of my recent ones I used my dads camera, I have no idea what it is though, sorry lovely! xx

  4. I also love my Sleek palette, but I have the original palette which has shimmers. I am so curios with the matte ones after reading some of your posts ;)

    1. I have hardly any matte shadows so I'm so glad I bought these, I have enough shimmer eyeshadows to sink a battleship! x
