Recently I finally purchased 2 Sleek Palettes. I have never tried Sleek Palettes before these two and had wanted to for a while. I knew I wanted 2 palettes from Sleek and seeing as I am loving matte finishes at the moment I thought I'd purchase the 2 all matte versions Sleek offers.
In this post I'll be talking about Version 1 which is the Brights Palette.
I love that the shades have actual names
First Row
Chill | This is a pale blue shade with good pigmentation. Its more pigmented than it seems in the photo.
Pout | This is a hot pink shade with some red tones in it with great pigmentation.
Sugarlite | This purple has poor pigmentation.
Dragon Fly | This is a dark mossy green with decent pigmentation, better than the photo.
Pucker | This is more of a bold hot pink with good pigmentation.
Bammi | This is a neon bold yellow with great pigmentation for a yellow.
Second Row
Cricket | This is more of a lighter green, a truer green with great pigmentation.
Bolt | This bold blue shade has brilliant pigmentation.
Strike | This is a bold neon orange with brilliant pigmentation.
Floss | This is a pale pink with better pigmentation than the photo shows.
Crete | This is a light grey shade with good pigmentation.
Pow! | This is just a plain white with good pigmentation.
There are some amazingly pigmented shades and some good pigmented shades in this palette. The purple shade let me down a lot but 1 out of 12 is pretty good.
The lasting power of these are great when I use a primer (E.L.F primer).
There are so many looks I can create with this palette and I already have but that's for another post. I can't wait to show you all the looks I've enjoyed creating.
I'm so glad I purchased this, this is the start to my experimenting and the pigmentation of these shadows are great, the level I'd expect from a brand like Urban Decay.
What's your favourite Sleek product or palette?
Thanks for reading,
Shona x
I have this palette too, can't wait to dig it out for the summer! My favourite sleek palette at the minute is Sparkle2. It's really very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat review lovely x
It will definitely be great for the summer, I think the yellow esp maybe in the inner corner :) I've seen a few reviews on that and it does look gorgeous :) Thanks xx
DeleteSuch bright beautiful colours!!! These will be perfect for the summer!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely :) x
DeleteAmazing palette. I love it but I don't think I'd be brave enough to wear the colours xx
ReplyDelete:) I bought it more for experimenting but after trying them I would wear the shades out when used with some more neutral shades, they are easier to wear than they look, you just have to play around with them :) x
DeleteSuch a pretty palette, especially the light blue, but I don't think I'd ever be brave enough to wear these colours :( xx

Like I said above, you'd be surprised how much you can make them work, I'm going to be doing a series of posts showing looks that are more experimental and then ones I've actually been wearing out xx
DeleteLove it. A palette like this would definitely bring me out neutral comfort zone:)
