100 Day Spending Ban | Update and Wishlist #4

I'm now on my 26th day of my Spending Ban and last week I so nearly cracked.

Everything was going fine at first, I'd even managed to forget about the MUA offer. Then the Rimmel Apocalips came out, a product that I had been longing to get! They seem so similar to my much loved MUA Intense Kisses Glosses.

I went into town on Saturday and didn't go into Boots or Superdrug because I knew that if I did I would definitely crack. I've been constantly reminded on twitter that they'll be there in April and the support I've received has helped me not to purchase them.

This Spending Ban is not going to be as easy as I originally thought.

I just wanted to address something as well. Everyone who is doing this Spending Ban are doing so for lots of different reasons and have different plans for when its over. I'm doing this because I don't need to spend all my money on makeup every week and I'm hoping that after this ban is over I can become a better spender. However the plan for when the ban is over slightly contradicts this.

I'm planning to save some of the money that I haven't spent and then go out and treat myself with the rest. By then I *hope* to have had my surgery so it will be great to cheer me up. Also I hate to sound arrogant but I think after everything I will be going through in this next few months I think I'll at least deserve to treat myself.

The Wishlist

I have been wanting the Real Techniques Setting Brush for a while but I just haven't popped it in a wishlist yet. I don't use a lot of powder as I only have a few select areas where I get oily sometimes so a smaller powder/setting brush like this would be perfect for under my eyes etc.

Recently I've been trying out the new Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation but the buffing brush isn't really working with it and I'd love to try the expert face brush with it, I've seen lots of good reviews!

The rest of the items on my wishlist is all NYX so I hope you don't mind but I haven't got pictures for these. I'm not going to talk about each product individually. This is a little bit like my MUA wishlist last week, just some products that I've wanted to try for a while but from NYX.

NYX

Concealer Jar in Porcelain £5
Loose Glitter Powder in Silver £2.50
Jumbo Eye Pencil in Baby Blue £4.50
Mega Shine Lip gloss in Beige and La-La £7
Round Lipstick in Narcissus and Gala £3.50
Powder Blush in Dusty Rose and Taupe £5.50
Trio Eyeshadow in Casablanca £7

You can purchase NYX here: nyxcosmetics.co.uk

    2. Yeah I guess I could try a 30-day spending ban - I know I probably couldn't make it to 100 but surely I can survive 30 days? It's foundation and powder thats my downfall, and that's what I'm most likely to break the spending ban with! &Ahh I haven't got any - I've got random brushes in my brush pot, a couple from mac, cosmopolitan, barry m, but I really want some RT ones! And ecotools is meant to be good too :) xxx

    3. You should go for it :) Yeah you'll be fine! Maybe if you completed 30 days you could treat yourself to some RT brushes afterwards? If you're working towards something it will make the ban easier xx

  2. Congrats on doing so well. My method is buy high end, I use Benefit's Total Moisture and because I forked out I tend to not buy cheap ones and try them once!

    Well done you!

    1. Thank you :) I've always loved drugstore products and only own a few high end products, I adore a lot of my drugstore products and find they are my holy grail products. I'd like to try high end ones but I'll never stop buying drugstore :) I see where you are coming from though x

  6. i should really do this spending ban, as i'm SO bad with buying makeup all the time! It makes it worse when things are 3 for 2, or buy 2 get one half price, as you only want 1 thing, but you're thinking it's a good offer, you're just spending more money! :/ when you get the powder brush, please do a review? i'm thinking of buying it! xx
