Best of 2012: Makeup

2012 has seen loads of new beauty products come to light, some good and some bad. I'm going to show you some of my favourites from 2012, the products that I have loved a lot this year. Some I may have had for the whole year, others only a month.

Real Techniques Brushes
These have been raved about my everyone this year and I have to agree, I love my RT brushes! This post is going up after xmas day but I've asked for more of these brushes for Christmas and I really hope I get some more! They are really good quality for money.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and Covergirl Natureluxe Foundation
This has been my face trio. I've loved my collection concealer for ages! My stay matte powder is great for the price and I finally found my perfect foundation!

Rimmel ScandalEyes Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Nude
This has been my favourite eyeliner for 2012. I don't wear eyeliner on my lash line or eyelid or anything, I only ever wear it on my waterline and sometimes my tight-line  This is the best eyeliner for neutralising redness and making my eyes look bigger.

ELF Eyelid Primer
This is a brilliant primer for a little price tag and it does the job so I can't see myself trying any expensive ones  any time soon such as the UD Primer Potion.

MUA Every Lash Mascara- review here
I've had loads of favourite mascaras this year and I'm always trying different ones but I always go back to this one and its by far my favourite!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo's- review here
These are just brilliant! They stay on all day, look great on their own or with eyeshadow on top. I've been meaning to pick up some more shades but haven't got round to it yet.

MUA Single Eyeshadow's (Shade 25)- review here
MUA Single eyeshadow's are brilliant, I much prefer them to the eyeshadow's in the palettes. This particular shade stands out for me, I suggest you read my review to find out why.

NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny
This is just the most amazing bronzer. Its so light and not orangey at all! Its also completely matte. I never would have dreamed of using bronzer before I found this but now I am constantly using it.

MUA Cream Blush (Yummy)
I love wearing cream blush and loads of brands have brought them out this year including my favourite bargain brand MUA. These blushes will set you back just £2, I think they are fantastic!

NYX Blush (Peach)
I only own one NYX blush but I adore them. There are so many colours I am dying to get my hands on as I love them. They are pigmented and I love Peach, it really suits my skintone.

Laval Lipshiner (Nude)- review here
These are just the most amazing lip glosses! They are moisturising, non-sticky and pigmented! They are such a bargain and I really adore them, definitely check out my review to see where you can pick these up for a bargain price.

MUA Lipstick (Shade 4)
MUA Lipstick's have really stood out for me this year and recently. I have grown to love the formula and I find them a joy to put on my lips. MUA have a great selection of shades as well.

ELF Mineral Lipstick (Rosy Raisin)
This is another lipstick I have grown to love. The formula is really moisturising and I can't wait to pick up more shades, its just so annoying you have to order online.

MUA Intense Kisses High Intensity Gloss (Lips are Sealed)- review here
These are most probably my favourite glosses of 2012. I have 3 shades now and I plan to get more. They are super pigmented, non-sticky and there are quite a few shades available. The intensity of these glosses are just amazing and I suggest you check out my review to learn more.

Urban Decay Naked2- review here and here
Urban Decay have quickly become my favourite brand for eyeshadow's and I have been sucked into the whirlwind that is the Naked palettes. This palette truly lives up to all expectations and I look forward to using it every morning!

Benefit Cha Cha Tint, Posietint and High Beam
Benefit is a brand I am yet to dive into properly but I love my minis. Cha cha tint is a great coral/orange toned colour which looks lovely both on your lips and cheeks. Posietint is fantastic for your lips as either a base for a lipstick or lip gloss or on its own. And High Beam is a gorgeous highlighter that will brighten up anyone's cheekbones!

Those are my makeup favourites of 2012! Keep an eye out for more 'Best of 2012' posts coming up very soon!

Thanks for reading,
Shona x
