Best of 2012: Hair, Body and Skin

Welome to part 2 of the Best of 2012 series! I'm not sure whether there will be a part 3 yet but if you missed part 1 where I talked about my makeup favourites you can read it here.

There aren't going to be as many favourites in this one as I just picked a couple of things that I truly have loved!

L'Oreal Professional Mythic Oil
This stuff does wonders for my hair! I use it whilst my hair is damp. It makes my hair less frizzy and a lot softer. Its definitely nourishing as well and doesn't make my hair feel greasy. Its expensive compared to what I usually use but 100% worth the price tag.

LUSH American Cream Conditioner
This is a little like the hair oil. It makes my hair feel like heaven! My hair has been softer and healthier since using this conditioner.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
My skin loves this! My skin has been a lot better since using this to remove my makeup. I usually use my bioderma to take off my eye makeup, or most of it, and then I use this. It makes my skin feel soft and healthy.

St Ives Apricot Scrub
This is a great product. Its not harsh on my skin but at the same time it gets the job done and leaves my skin free of dry patches and dead skin. Its the best product for exfoliating I've used so far.

Soap and Glory Hand Food
Admittedly I haven't had this for long but I have fallen in love with it! This hand cream sinks into my hands so quickly, leaves them feeling soft and doesn't leave any residue. You also don't need to use much of it.

Bioderma- review here
This stuff is genius, it removes my makeup so well and if its the only thing I use to remove it I know I can trust it to get every scrap of product off my face. I've nearly run out of mine and despite me loving it I'm not sure if I will repurchase yet.

Johnsons Daily Essentials 24hr Day Cream for normal skin
This has been my favourite moisturiser for the whole year. I haven't found anything as good as this and I won't be trying out anything else any time soon. It moisturises my skin for the whole day and leaves it feeling smooth and soft. I can't find any faults. Despite it being for normal skin and I have dry skin it moisturisers my skin so well. I also have a few oily patches sometimes and this doesn't make it worse, in fact it helps!

Vo5 Strong Hold Weather Resistent Hairspray
After loving my L'Oreal Elnette Hairspray for so long I completed disregarded it after finding this beauty! It keeps my hair in place but it doesn't make my hair feel like it has loads of hairspray in and it keeps it feeling soft. It holds my hair for most of the day and it gets through most weather conditions apart from bad wind and intense rain but you won't catch me out in town in those conditions by choice anyway! It also has a UV filter to protect your hair from the sun which is brilliant!

Avon Naturals Home Black Cherry and Nutmeg Room and Linen Spray
This is my second bottle of this now, I love it! A few sprays of this and my room is smelling gorgeous all day long. The smell isn't overpowering and this is great if you have asthma as its not a aerosol.

White Glo Toothpaste
It may seem a little weird putting toothpaste in the this blogpost but this is the best whitening toothpaste I have found. We all like to have pearly white teeth and this achieves that the best. It also comes in versions for smokers and coffee drinkers. And it comes with a toothbrush as well.

Burt's Bees Pomegranate Lip Balm
This is such a nice lip balm. Its packed with goodness and makes my feels feel nourished. Its smell is just divine as well! I really want to check out the tinted lip balm's from Burt's Bees.

So that's my Hair, Body and Skin Favourites for 2012! What a variety!

Thanks for reading,
Shona x

  7. I love, love, LOVE Hand Food! I didn't choose it as part of my yearly faves though as I slightly prefer my Baylis & Harding White Tea and Peony Hand Cream. The Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish and Bioderma are on my wishlist too.
