NEW MUA Nail Constellations | First Impressions

Recently MUA have been bringing out new products every week and have been treating us to cream blushers, new nail polish and BB cream shades and more! The Nail Constellations seem to be a favourite of everyones so when my Superdrug had them stocked I just had to buy one!
I purchased Scorpio as it really caught my eye! All the different colours in it reminded me of children's sweets, I was tempted by Leo (my star sign) but unfortunately I only have enough money to buy one.
It comes with a handy little funnel on the top so you can put any spare beads back into the pot. I expected this to be a hard plastic but the funnels is actually bendy which makes it easier to take on and off the pot.

This was my first try with it. I really like it when the whole nail isn't covered so you can still see your nail polish underneath, I think my Essie Power Clutch really goes well with Scorpio.
When I was first read about these on the MUA blog I saw that Karla (makeup artist) said that putting a top coat over the top would prolong the wear but also dampen the colour so it wouldn't be as vibrant. I really appreciated the truthfulness. It is true after I had put a top coat over most of the beads went an almost tarnished silvery colour.

I was only testing them out so can't comment on how long they stay on for but I think these would be good just for a night out because with no top coat I can't see them staying on for very long.

I will definitely be buying more of these and even though my prom isn't until next year I think this may be a great nail look for it!

Thanks for reading,
Shona x

  1. It's so pretty! I've been after these for a while but haven't got round to purchasing them, Scorpio is my favourite out of them all! It's a shame about the top coat taking off the colour but like you said they'd be great for a night out x
